Yes! Thanks. Replied to yesterday so in my head it was a post from yesterday.1505grandad said:https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/comment/81480767/#Comment_81480767
"Does my hon. Friend agree that private parking firms are running a racket in this country by adding debt recovery fees on top of already expensive parking fines? Will he join me in urging the Minister to bring forward the new regulatory code as soon as possible and ensure that it includes the ability to prevent the addition of "bailiffs’ charges" on top of already expensive fines? "
Is it the above posted 3rd June?
Great. I need that for something urgent.
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

'Money grabbers!' Outrage as man who took wife battling cancer into Shrewsbury fined for parking outside bay to help her
A man who took his wife into Shrewsbury to make "memories" while she battles stage four lung cancer has been hit with a fine after parking outside a marked bay to help her into a wheelchair.
UKPC hang your heads in shame for rejecting this appeal. The lady is living with a death sentence and you couldn't bring yourselves to comply with disability law because money means more to you. Shameful.
#PrivateParkingIndustry: repeatedly ignoring their Equality Act duty to make reasonable adjustments.
The BPA must be so proud...
...along with Stewart Clure, moneygrabbing reinvented career debt collector (now of DR Plus) who apparently used to work for them and famously joined Will Hurley (both with straight faces) when spinning the yarn to the DLUHC Select Committee that PPCs "don't want to issue PCNs" and would be very happy with full compliance.
Despite the facts. They'd make no moneyPRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Guardian consumer champion, not so champion and simply regurgitated what the tram company told them about this location and clamping that's come up here before. Is it still a requirement to be SIA licenced for clamping? From what ive seen on here and elsewhere, could there be something not quite right with the set-up at Nottingham park and ride sites regarding the use of a private company which keeps the "release" fees, and possibly why we dont see clamping help issues at railway sites ( also with bye-laws)From the Plain Language Commission:
"The BPA has surely become one of the most socially dangerous organisations in the UK"2 -
For anyone that didn't see in 2021 the DLUHC Committee question Andrew Pester BPA, Will Hurley IPC, Philip Boynes PE and Stewart Clure DRP it's still available to watch and/or read the transcript.Coupon-mad said:...along with Stewart Clure, moneygrabbing reinvented career debt collector (now of DR Plus) who apparently used to work for them and famously joined Will Hurley (both with straight faces) when spinning the yarn to the DLUHC Select Committee that PPCs "don't want to issue PCNs" and would be very happy with full compliance.

Thanks, they were nicknamed the FOUR STOOGES and they still are ?
Since that meeting and despite all the propaganda by the four, the industry has got worse ten fold as we see every day on here. Parking Eye included
Hurley kept saying the landowner would lose .... LOSE WHAT, do the rogue traders pay the landowner to farm their property ?
The only loss would the retailers who pay rent to the landowner closing down or going bust because they have allowed ROGUE TRADERS TO OPERATE

The recent rise in hidden AI CCTV issuing immediate PCNs to any vehicle seen is partly responsible for the huge rise in PCN numbers this year to 18 million (or whatever it was).
All of them are likely breaching the ICO's Surveillance Camera Code and the Data Protection Act because:
1. they are hidden, and
2. they are operating 24/7 at sites that could easily be run by a less data intrusive method.
"Councillor Stephen Fenton has contacted the landowner to ask them to suspend the issuing of fines so that there can be a review of the arrangements and changes made so that shopper are not unfairly penalised. He said “Residents are understandably upset about being fined for supporting local businesses or just driving in and out of the car park having dropped someone off.
“Many residents who have been fined have posted on social media that they are less likely to use these local shops if this carries on and I am therefore concerned that local businesses will suffer, which is the last thing we need."
#ANPR & CCTV in the hands of private parking firms: ruining proper businesses (shops) and wrecking any hope of a recovery of high streets.

What makes you think the camera(s) is hidden?0

Only mention on the signage is small print reference to "photographs" of "you and your vehicle", ANPR and an erroneous illustration of a public highway speed camera, not a CCTV camera.Kaizen2024 said:What makes you think the camera(s) is hidden?
I'm also guessing that "on the balance of probabilities" (one your favourite phrases!) that the CCTV is an anonymous black device on the building or high up on a metal pole. Certainly not highlighted by means of yellow colouration.7
