Parking stories in the News/media

  • I fail to understand the silly game these parking cowboys get up to

They objected to the lower charges, they objected to the added fakes, yet with all these horror stories which are not going to stop any time soon, they are desperately trying to prove to government that they really are NOT fit for purpose

The cowboys clearly carry around with them their own noose which they are now putting around their own necks

If the financial services industry behaved in such a disgusting way, the FCA would really clamp down on them

And as parking cowboys operate a money making scheme, the DLUHC must clamp down on them as well

Just adjusted that statement for them to reveal the reality.
That sums it up ...... Parking Eye at one time were assumed to be professionals .. sadly their behaviour has dropped them into the sewers and now, they are just part of the BPA group of money scammers

Shame PE has stooped so low and are now on par with the rest of them

This is the problem with Sch 4 of the PoFA as it currently stands. It allows PCNs to be issues to emergency vehicles on a shout but exempts heads of foreign military powers.
This means that a vehicle carrying mister Putin would be exempt, but not emegency vehicles attending an incident.
I think the BPA CoP exempts emergency vehicles, but the IPC CoP does not.

The new mandatory CoP will prevent this sort of thing from happening. It can't come soon enough.

It should not really matter if they were not attending an emergency as they have got to take a break at some stage.

BPA's 'finest' web-bloggers Gemini Parking are reportedly happy to carry on ripping off disabled visitors to Stanborough Lakes, by repeatedly ignoring their Blue Badge exemption:

    Early Sept:
    https://www.whtimes.co.uk/news/stanborough-lakes-parking-issues-9233898

    Still not resolved today:
    https://www.whtimes.co.uk/news/stanborough-lakes-visitors-unhappy-with-parking-management-9294804

This is what happens when landowners cut corners by outsourcing proper parking management and replacing it with ANPR which ignores Blue Badges and/or places an unfair burden on those drivers to take convoluted steps to also exempt their VRM on some useless 'system' (with no proof or receipt) as well as displaying the Badge.

And why is land under Council control being operated by (banned) ANPR and not under statutory rules?!

Reminds me of the Kent Council Ombudsman Decision. Illegal.

And a victim Strawberry company ripped off for unloading:
    https://www.eveningnews24.co.uk/news/sharrington-strawberries-slam-norwich-parking-fine-9291722

Yes it's NPE at Earlham House, a well known Norwich scam site discussed so many times that one Google search would find that NPE are easy to ignore, have been taken to task by local councillors, are considered a pariah in Norwich, and are highly unlikely to try a small claim.

And if they did, it would cost  Sharrington Strawberries precisely NOTHING to successfully defend.

Yet the clueless firm and credulous journalist say this:

    "
If Mr Turner wants to contest the penalty further he will have to seek legal advice and go to court.bHe added: "It would cost us thousands, we can't risk it.  We're an independent business. They're targeting the little guys."

    Yes, they are.

No wonder, when people are cannon fodder.

Why do some people actually think they have to pay, and that it's a 'fine' and that going to court costs money?

Another wannabe big player twosome who only set up at the end of May this year. Hasn't taken them long to start dishing out misery!
Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .

I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.
