Is is how useful eon next support is.

I sent a screenshot of the plan in the linked thread.

My question was 'May I please be offered this plan, or receive an explanation why I am not eligible?'.

    Their reply was simply:

'These are the plans we offer, tell !e which one you would like'

And a simple copy paste of the plans I can already select through my account.

So it looks like I will have to use the phone, though I'm not sure anyone will have any idea about it.

So I got one thats a bit less as the pricing is based on area:

Gas is a tiny bit higher which I don't care about as I barely use it, and the electricity is fixed before the price hike in October.

If anything does get cheaper, theres no exit fees.

Superb and that's the most you can ask for at the moment to be happy with your decisions👍👍

Yes it just means paying more for 3.5 months to fix the price for October which I decided was worth it for this price.

Slightly OT but why the massive standing charges?

The standing charges are actually the same as SVR, just the unit prices are different, so no bother with those.

They’re normal for Standing Charges nowadays. I’m guessing you’re still on an old fixed tariff.

They're in line with the standard variable standing charges, which are where they are for the reasons given here:
