RWG any good?
Another thread (about 3's prices rising) had a post about a company called RWG which apparently has a free offer for 50min/50SMS and 250MB if you top-up with £5 or for 100min/100SMS and 750MB if you top-up with £15. Sounds almost too good to be true but seems genuine from what I can tell from posts here on MSE. CS seems to be not too bad either. So... is that offer really a viable option for v low users?
They also have a few other plans, i.e. one for £2 and another for £6 including EU roaming. My other question now is: when I start with one of the free offers can I switch (for instance for hols abroad) to one their paid plans and later switch back to the free offer? Thanks for any help there.

I've had a free plan from RWG for a couple of years now, use it in my spare/car mobile. Others on here have had for longer. No problems at all, send a text every couple of months just to check out SIM and phone OK. I've just ordered a second SIM to replace a (soon to be expensive) Three sim in another device.
Spoken to their CS just the once to sort out a top-up, charming and efficient. Recommend you chat with them about plan-swapping.0 -

Im on their £15 one off bundle, but i needed a roaming bundle for my holiday in spain.
I got a voucher for £10 from a paypoint shop to take my credit to £25,i emailed them i had topped up,as i wanted the £22 bundle of 100gb,and i was surprised that i could use all my allowance while there, and no £2 a day charge either.
When my bundle is up on the 18th june,i revert bak to my 100 mins, texts and 750mb free every month. No need to top up another £15.1 -
While in Spain, were you able to use your RWG SIM with 100GB as a WIFI hotspot for other devices?
Three used to allow hotspot when roaming (worked in USA in Feb 2022) but when I have just been to New York, while the roaming worked just fine, I was unable to use my phone as a hotspot for my laptop.0 -

Thanks for those who answered. I have also contacted RWG CS (which was quick and easy, not a given these days) and they have confirmed that I can switch around between free and paid plans. So, I'll check them out.
(Of course, as ever, things may change v quickly... we'll see.)

Well, I've now received a SIM from RWG which basically seems to be a normal Now SIM but with RWG labels over the Now logos. After some initial hiccups to do with RWG's activation procedure it works as described. Apparently the free allowances renew automatically every 1st of the month and there seems to be a call-or-text-every-90-days policy in place.
Hopefully they keep that thing running for a while...

Sorry not to be clear. The £15 free bundle was 75 mins or texts and £500mb free a month. Then it changed 2 weeks ago to what it is now,100min and 100 texts and 750mb free.1
