ive just tried to declare it but it states i need to enter in the amount of capital, which from what i understand is 0, it wont let me enter that as like i said it seems pointless to declare essentially nothing
i cant enter an amount as legally i have no claim to the capital of the property
im even more confused now

You have not answered the important questions.
Is your name on the land registry- you can check that yourself.?
If it is , are you joint owners or tenants in common on the land registry record?
Is your name on the mortgage?

How do you know this for certain without checking the land registry? What about your name on the mortgage?

ive signed a legal document that says i dont have any interest in it
its why shes able to let it out
if she sold it tomorrow i couldnt claim any of the profit, even if i wanted to1 -
Was your name on the mortgage? If so how was that removed, did she buy you out? You still haven't answered the question.. have you checked the land registry?0

my name is on the mortgage, she couldnt buy me out, her solution to this was the legal document that stated i have no interest in the finances of the property (sorry im sure i stated this in the previous posts)
therefore i am liable for the debt, means the banks fine
but i dont have any claim to profits, means she can let it out and pay off the mortgage without me being able to claim anything.
like i said im more of a guarantor
this suited me, shes invested everything in the property and has quite wealthy parents, a default simply wasnt going to happen

Unfortunately you cannot declare property that way. Drop a note in your journal (under payments) explaining the situation and your Case Manager will collect the relevant information from you and pass it on to a decision maker who will decide whether it can be disregarded.you can only declare capital

Surly if your name is still on the land registry and mortgage you own a share even if you signed a document?
If she wanted sole ownership she should have remortgaged and removed you from the land registry?2
