Plusnet No reward card email!!

i was told by some to visit a land where ISP's showed their wares they had on offer, so i ventured forth from this land and arrived at the door of a place called Plusnet.Broadband, they had a big red sign in the window, spend your funds here and you will receive a prize, in the form of a card.
i looked around for a while, i wanted to make sure i was going to get what i was paying for. so i went thru many doors of the Plusnet.Broadband, till i found what i was looking for.
so i went thru the door of the Plusnet.Broadband sign up and was met by a company who took my funds and my signup quest was complete,
but wait, what is this, i'm now being told i came thru too many doors the prize i was promissed was gone, how can this be, all the roads led to Plusnet.Broadband, did i get lost on the was, No, it seems the signup door was faulty and my prize had dissapeared, i noticed a lot more had taken this journey and had also lost what they where promissed.
but surely i can prove i am actually here, with the papers from my signup quest and a monthly fee is removed from my account, then it shouldn't matter which door i came from, i arrived here at Plusnet.Broadband, and the signup proof should be sufficient.

where do i stand with regards the reward card, and what are my options, as feel i was mis-sold the Broadband package.

TIA

It's standard that if you don't go via the right channel, you don't get the reward.

It's difficult to tell from your post exactly what happened.
  • i signed up direct with them, and not thru a third party site.
    and the site said
£75.00 Plusnet Reward Card** to say thanks for signing up
i did as they said, i signed up, and got nowt :'(

Hi Jim and welcome to the Forum!

I presume the deal you responded to is the one on Plusnet's own website £75 Plusnet Reward Card offer ends 8 June 2022, available to new Plusnet customers ordering Unlimited Broadband...

The T&Cs for this card say Once your broadband and line rental are activated you will be issued claim information via email. Follow the instructions in this email to be issued with your Plusnet Reward Card.

I presume your broadband has been activated but you subsequently contacted them because you did not receive the expected claim information?

The T&Cs say 'Your Plusnet Reward Card is issued by GVS Prepaid Ltd, an Electronic Money Institution authorised in the UK by the Financial Conduct Authority'. They also say rather ominously that the cards are 'subject to availability' which I suppose means that if they have none left then you do indeed get nowt.

    Is that what has happened?
  • Hi, thanks for reply,  i signed up with them 25th Feb and the line went live on 14th March,
but i never received any email regards the reward card they offered when signing up.
and iv'e been trying to chase it up since, without success.
all i get out of them is
Upon review the promotional code on your account is not linked to any reward. If
you signed up directly via Plusnet and there was an offer at that time this would be
attached to your account. If you signed up through a 3rd party website the offer
    would not be applicable.

If you do have any proof of the reward you was offered please do send this in and i
will be happy to investigate as a priority

Do Plusnet have an MSE rep account?

(I can't easily find a link to a member list).

You're right, sort of ... I said that in the hope that a) someone would know, or b) they'd know the link to find the member list, so c) you could find if they do have a rep to let you PM them or at least tag them in a reply here, hopefully resulting in d) a way forward with your issue. ;)

Plusnets own customers forum would be a good place to go.

Plusnet used to be magnificent for support.

Really gone downhill in the last few years.

    Good luck with your quest.
