Paid stuff 8.30am to 3.30pm. Back in at 5.30pm for evening meetings, I cycled in but will take the car for the next trip. Dry washing brought in and folded, DH stripped our bed so I have hung that out and made the bed up. Kitchen tidied, could really do to run the hoover around before I go back to work.
Oh and I have phoned Student Finance to try and sort DS2s Student Finance application. Their website has issues.
Now all I need to do is find the work keys that I have misplaced (again). My memory is terrible at the moment, the joys of being a menopausal woman I guess.
I had better get some food sorted so I can eat before I return to the paid stuff.
Sleep, cough, drink water, repeat. Hopefully on the upward slope now, that’s what I’m telling myself. DH is now positive as well. Obviously he is so much worse than I am 🤔 2 loads through the wm and hung outside - all DD’s washing, more to do. NDN dropped round dinner for us all - so kind.
Have managed to get some knitting done, and have read 3 books!
Kaz, for ticks we have a small tick remover (looks like a mini crow bar in plastic, you slide it onto the tick then turn a quarter turn and it's out. Very quick and we can use it on our cat that won't be handled for more than 5 seconds.
Fayolle, hope you're on the mend,
Very wet rain today, but the farmers around here will be happy. So I guess it's an excuse to sort somewhere and maybe pack some stuff up. I'm reluctant to pack as each time I sort I get rid of more stuff so hoping that if I leave it until the last minute there will actually be less to pack.
Yesterday, shopping all put away, blood test booked, caught up with friends
WM on Bed made, clothes picked up Banking and spending checked
Fed my tummy bears so I can have pain meds.. my head is pounding. I don't think it is a migraine, my nose feels normal..
L!dl'd some shopping.
Growled at school and senco rang me back. The school are trying to get me to go in to school to make sure Dot behaves for the extra stuff.. bikeability, school trip etc and while I said I would go with them for the swimming lesson on Thursday I am aware they are breaking the law by not providing the needed level of support outlined in her EHCP .. I spoke to the senco this morning and she has kicked them so while I am still going to their swimming lesson they are putting 1-2-1 in place for the other stuff. I am not prepared to argue over this I will just hit them with the law on such matters, I have a headache.. do not wind me up further.
I need to ring the vet about Hazel. I think she has a 'thing' in her tum somewhere. Her bowels are beyond a joke and we got up to about 20 poops this morning and there was another when we got back from school. I can't leave her outside she is 14 and skinny and she spends all day asleep and all night with her bowels open.. She has always been one for using places oother than the litter tray but she is driving me insane now. I need to take Nutkin and his tail too. As much as we love his door handle tail it has bled a few times on the end bend and it isn't save and is an infection risk so that needs sorting too. We were quoted £400 when he was tiny!!
OH just done the DW I am hoping the stuff on the line actually dries today now the sky has stopped leaking.
No flying for me lately I'm afraid, I fractured my knuckle recently and have had my finger splinted so it can heal. But it's on my right hand which is sadly my dominant hand so no writing, chopping up etc. Tried dusting and hoovering with it, then had to swap hands and gave up in the end. So I'm now relying on Dave to do bits.
Plus I also had a hospital appointment yesterday and was in a bit of shock afterwards.
I've been referred to Moorfields Eye Hospital as I'm showing Diabetic Retinopathy, and I've got to go on a strict regime for diabetes that I thought was in remission. My blood tests are showing I'm in the ok range but obviously my eyes are saying a different story. And then on top of that there's something else that the main eye hospital has to investigate. Thankfully it's not glaucoma or cataracts so that's one good thing . 😀
So you can imagine how I've been...
I'm just wondering what else.
Hope everyone is ok...I promise I'll try and get on here more. I feel quite bad that I'm not as prevalent as I used to be many many months ago 🙁😞
Goodness me Natty.. what a time you're having!! I hope everything calms down soon for you and you heal quickly.
My headache is easing off a bit and the sun has come out so I am hopeful the washing will dry and I can get the next 2 loads out.
Squeak doing her maths class and I am chasing bills. I have a few quid which I will put in my utility account to cover some of this months payment.
Ordered DS1's precription.
I have one of my fabulous bites on my thigh. it is about 10p size at the moment and I am hoping it doesn't turn into one of the big monster reactions I am so prone to!
Natty, hugs, it sounds like everything is coming at once. Diabetes is a right pain, I had my diabetic eye screening today, results in 2 to 3 weeks. PM box is open if you want to let off steam.
Mademoiselle thank you, I have the tick pullers, or what ever they are called, and we know what / how to do it, it is just getting cat 3 and doing it, this cat has an asbo on him at the vets, and is just so nervous, OH and I think a towel wrap, long armed jackets, very thick gloves etc and get on with it, but even that is going to be hard work.
Walking is done
Ironing is done
Kitchen is done
Cut lawn and pot on plants this afternoon
Warm, sunny, but big black rain clouds hanging around

Lunch eaten WM reloaded OH did some strimming in the garden but found a huge wasps nest in the law, so man now booked to come and deal with that this evening, he also told me I can claim half back from the town hall Medical history sorted for DD2 ( why does she ask for it 30 minutes before she needs it) Going to see if OH wants to look at sorting some of the bureau this afternoon
Just checking in quickly, nearly bed time. Tricky day at the paid stuff, felt really flat and came home to a messy house which didnt make me feel any better.
Hoovered sofas, washed doggie blankets and cleaned out his crate, did a bit of ironing and put clean washing away, took Henry on a cobweb hunt, and made a chicken pie. I got a £10 voucher for Mr M's and so got a delivery. When it arrived I was a bit taken aback about how few things I had actually bought for £80! There is quite a bit of meat though so that will keep DH going.
Natty you really are having some trouble with the medical stuff. Hugs x
Been awake since 4am so I've aired the wide awake club, done the cushions, bin, stocked up on fruit etc.
Once seem to have 2 cats, guess the other one will appear when hungry.
I must today sort out this internal window, the cardboard fell off during the night, hence the reason I am awake, the sun light here this morning is amazing, no clouds. I really am considering getting a builder in to quote to take the window out, plaster board, tile the bathroom side and make good the hallway side, I then will see if I have the funds or can make the funds from somewhere.
All sorts of other things whirly around in my mind, must write them all down and get sorted
YL sorry your work is being tricky.
