    My biggest culprit is the garden pond pump and UV filter that draws a constant 70W 24/7/365. Not a lot I can do about that though.

    Alter ego, those 3 you mention don't have a plug you can turn off at the socket, the fridge, freezer and router do.

    No wish to argue, just pointing out that what's essential to you may differ from others (my doorbell is plugged in) Should we switch off landline base units at the socket?

    Make sure you turn off everything at the plug socket when not in use, especially overnight. Only things that really need to stay on are fridge/freezer and internet router.
    I do this and for the last 2 months my energy has been less than £90
    @EmmaBadgeParry

    By itself that doesn't mean very much  - how much has your consumption dropped (in KWh) and much of that is due to reduced use at this time of year - less lighting, cooking, out more ?
    I swapped to a higher fixed tariff just before the chaos. I was with Bulb paying £80-£90 a month.
    At the moment no real change.  We are switching everything off and not using the hob and we were only putting the heating on when we needed it.

    God bless the air fryer 😂😂😂

    Will big ovens become redundant for the energy saving generation?

    Or just a luxury that sits there for use on a Sunday and Christmas.

    We are using ours once a week since our energy drive but a lot of that has to do with the weather, using the air fryer more and the BBQ.

    I suspect come winter it will be back cooking food 2-3 times a week.

    Do you really even need it, Change any important numbers to your mob and unplug it.
    I thought everyone had given them up, and a wireless one cant call 999 in a fire if the power is out or its bunt.
