Hi
I have ~£150 to spend on a tablet. Im just going to be using it for browsing the internet, checking emails etc. I would like a 10 inch screen, but other than that I dont have any specific requirements.
Ive borrowed a Samsung Tab S2 which is fine, although obsolete (I think). What can £150 get me? Id also like to get a screen protector and case for it.
Thanks

if you are looking at new rather than refurb then the Amazon Fire HD 10 is on offer at the moment. Here's a package w/ case & screen protector that's on-budget

I had an iPad a few years ago refurbished from CEX, I can’t remember the price but the condition was top notch and I’d recommend looking at a refurb option. I believe it had 12 month warranty as wellMFW 2021 #76 £5,145
MFW 2022 #27 £5,300
MFW 2023 #27 £2,000
MFW 2024 #27 £6,055
MFW 2025 #27 £1050/£50000 -
Normally I like refurbed tech from CEX and Amazon Renewed however I feel that iPads are always over priced compared to iphones and laptops etc. the ones that are cheap are usually obsolete. So I would seek out a new tablet, HD 10 is on sale at the mo and is a good shout. If you can stretch to double your budget (big ask I know), the basic iPad is actually good value for what you get.0

Absolutely none, do you hear?0

£150 will get you a refurb iPad Air from Music Magpie
Apple iPad Air Wi-Fi 16Gb Silver Very Good - musicMagpie Store
I've had my iPad for 7 years and it is still going strong, when the time comes I shall get another and it will probably be second hand too.0 -

I bought my one of those new for £250.
I checked the trade in value, and it is under £20.No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?1 -
My wife has had her Amazon Fire HD10 since it came out, (so for quite a few years). It does all you want plus watching films, playing games and a few apps. She's uses it for several hours a day and is more than happy with it (and BTW her HD10 battery still last longer than my Samsung Tab S2 which is a couple of years younger)
IMO getting a refub, might get you a unit with a battery that's getting a bit close to it end of life unless you get a guarantee that it has been renewed as part of the refurb.Never under estimate the power of stupid people in large numbers0 -
At that price point the only sensible option is an Amazon Fire tablet, do not even consider a used iPad at that price point.2

Thanks all! I didnt even think about refurbs until you mentioned it. However, the Amazon tablet looks good. I know nothing about Amazon tablets, are there any gotchas? (can I install new apps etc...? I dont think Ill want to, but I may do)0

Also... Ill be using Top Cash Back. Would the Fire tablet be considered a 'Kindle tablet device'? See https://www.topcashback.co.uk/amazon/0
