Hi, Wizz Air are fighting me on receiving compensation for a flight that was delayed. We have written a power of attorney letter as requested but they are now saying the power of attorney needs to be notarized in order for it to be considered valid. They have emailed this morning not even 24hrs after the first email stating that consider the case closed if your are unable to provide the documentation required. does anyone have any ideas

Under Hungarian law, which is the country of your contract for most flights, this will be required.

It may be worth trying once more by e-mail and if that doesn't work paying the £5 to get a solicitor to witness it. As this is regarding the funds of a third party this is to protect them from fraud.
