Also I am still waiting on the claimants WS, so I can complete the editing of mine, there is only four weeks to go until the hearing so hopefully they give me time to look through it!

They have the same deadline as you for filing and serving their Witness Statement and evidence and they tend to leave it to the last minute. Have your WS ready to go even if you don't have time for late edits.
  • Thanks Kieth its all set to go, I guess when the time comes delete the part that critiques their WS if as you say no time to edit it.

Ard you also getting help to set aside the CCJ?  Hope you didn't pay it!

It is not your fault that a greedy parking firm failed to take steps to trace you with a 29 pence 'soft trace' as required by their Code of Practice.

Hi Coupon-mad, I have not paid it but only 6 months left to go on it. CAB have advised to just let it expire at this point?

If the CCJ only has 6 months to run, and you don't need to obtain credit beforehand, then I agree that doing nothing about it is probably the best idea.

    Thirded.   :)

    BUT ARE YOU SURE?

Unlikely to have a parking CCJ from 2016?  As in an actual claim filed in 2016?  It's not calculated from the date of PCN (just checking).

Sorry - I'm confused. What CCJ? Your opening post was about receiving a claim form, and everything has followed on from there. It is only this post below where a CCJ is first mentioned:

Thank you Fruitcake, yes I moved out of a house due to domestic violence but also was in and out hospital and I forgot to change everything over. I guess its my fault. I even got a CCJ that I didn't even know about, I just found out recently when I checked my credit score.

So where has the "only 6 months to go / 2016 PCN" come from? This thread is about an alleged PCN in 2021.

    What am I missing?

I think they said more recently that they have two issues - but the CCJ is not a problem as long as the CLAIM was dated 2016.

I think I understand now ... the CCJ was just a throwaway comment and not related to THIS claim.
