The WSs recommended to read and use for examples of style and format are @wobs2k, @ricky_balboa, @Nosy and @jhrys. Do not just blindly copy and paste but make sure they relate to your situation and adapt by slotting your circumstances in the relevant place(s). Remember that a WS is in support of your defence as already filed so must relate to your circumstances.3

Letter in the post today.. bwlegal
"Notice of Intention to Proceed
We have recieved your copy of your response to the claim from the court. The purpose of this letter is to inform you that our client intends to proceed with the matter notwithstanding your reasons for disputing the claim.
Our client is confident that the court will find in their favour should the matter proceed to a court hearing.
Our client wishes to give you until 1 July 2022 to pay in full."
I'm guessing this is a standard response?

Hi LE Kirk yes I altered the template as instructed giving my own personal reasons for my defence, not knowing who the driver was due to mental health problems difficult break up ex had access to car, poor signage, car park meter upon inspection not accepting cash.Le_Kirk said:The WSs recommended to read and use for examples of style and format are @wobs2k, @ricky_balboa, @Nosy and @jhrys. I'm guessing this is a standard response? No need to guess. Every part of the whole process is provided for you to check in the 12 steps shown in the Template Defence Announcement. Please keep that bookmarked to refer to and read it so that nothing comes as a surprise in future. Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .

Today I have received a letter from my local County Court who have asked me to complete my written statement. I have asked my doctor to write me a letter to confirm I suffer from mental health problems, anxiety and depression. My written statement will be drafted on the template provided on the forum relaying my defence reasonings, my mental health problems not knowing who had access to the car that day, poor signage and payment machine locations whilst continuing the template going on to talk about the Beavis case ect.
This is now when fear is coming over me, my hearing is on the 7th October. I am going to visit the carpark and get some timestamped photos of the carpark to credit my reasoning.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated?0 -
My written statement will be drafted on the template provided on the forum. There isn't a template witness statement and don't use the old RobertCox example that's in the NEWBIES thread.
That example is now superseded by:

Thank you Coupon mad for all your help.0 -
Hi Coupon mad just a quick question, the alleged incident in question happened on 18/06/2021, the very first letter I recieved was from the claiments solicitor on 02/05/2022. I assume they have been sending letters to an old address? Does this impact their claim at all?0
-
It impacts their claim if they failed to properly serve the claim. This will depend on the reason why you never received anything prior to the LBC/claim form.
An SAR should reveal what documents they allege they sent, and to where.
It will also depend on whether the address on your V5C was correct at the time of the alleged event, or whether you moved home around then or afterwards.I married my cousin. I had to...I don't have a sister.

Thank you Fruitcake, yes I moved out of a house due to domestic violence but also was in and out hospital and I forgot to change everything over. I guess its my fault. I even got a CCJ that I didn't even know about, I just found out recently when I checked my credit score.1
