Agreed that it is a strange thing to say, but it might just be a standard threat to get people to worry about their credit rating and pay through fearThe pen is mightier than the sword ..... and I have many pens.1

Dear Colin,
It is urgent that you crawl back under your stone and stop trying to dupe people into paying an extra £70 that the Government intends to ban and declared 'extortion'.
Kindly stop misleading me with threats to 'investigate my credit background' when in fact all you can do is a 29 pence soft trace to check an address. Not quite the same thing, eh?
Are TNC in the CSA? I want to complain about your letter because it doesn't meet acceptable standards. At least you've stopped heading it up with the word 'Summons' as ordered by the BPA but this letter is still scaremongering and unacceptable.

I assume the word SUMMONS as a threat, is not at the top? I complained to Steve Clark at the BPA and he had a word with TNC last year.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Although, this is something which isn't true, (note the use of the word "will"), if the judgment, (and he can't spell "judgment"), is settled within a month:-"Also a judgement against you will be a matter of public record for
6 years and could limit your future ability to obtain credit".1
