Im glad Ive not activated the round up option.
I make lots payments on a day to day basis.
Today I was in 11 shops and made 3 ebay shops and 2 on Amazon.
I think I would get that message every week , Then my account is closed.
That's normal use and would be fine. However, if you went to the supermarket, put 50 items in your trolley, and then went to the self-serve checkout and put through 50 separate payments over the course of an hour, you'd probably get a similar message.

Latest issue with my card is that I spotted a small purchase at a retailer in a nearby airport at 6.45am on a day when I was tucked up in bed. Several calls to customer service on hold for an hour and was asked about 10 times if I had made the spend as it was showing as the actual card being used. They said they could do nothing and I should contact the retailer - tried but impossible to get any sense from a national retailer for such a small amount.
I have been in touch with Chase but it's radio silence so I've withdrawn my savings and reduced my debit account to zero just in case the cards been cloned.
I was in the airport over a month earlier but surely it wouldn't take so long for a purchase to be debited?

    It's certainly possible.

In the early days of my Chase account, I thought I'd managed to get free travel when my train ticket purchase didn't appear on my feed.

It did so a few days later, but timed as THAT time and date, not the time/date when originally transacted.

It is possible, but Chase would be able to tell you the date and time the transaction was authorised. Seems like they are trying to fob you off, which is not very encouraging.

Did you buy anything while you were in the airport over a month ago?

Could you have used your Chase card?

Does the transaction show from that time?

I often go through the unknown transaction panic, but > 99% of the time it is a real transaction, but delayed, or with an odd vendor name (or just a forgotten purchase).

Yes I did do some transactions in the airport and can't be sure it wasn't me but what's spooked me is it appearing 5 weeks later and dated and timed when I wasn't physically at the airport.

Do those transactions from 5 weeks ago show?
A search for the vender name (from the latest transaction) should easily show these.

It could be a delay, an error, or possibly something more nefarious.

Yes I can see those transactions from 5 weeks ago and the one I am suspicious about isn't there. My hunch is that it was me but there has been a huge delay processing it, but I need Chase to confirm that to rule out the possibility of a cloned card.

It may be that the vendor only just submitted this last transaction (POS system issues).
    But good luck!
