    As suspected, the government are going to step in with support so will probably stick with SVT for now as otherwise paying over the odds until October on a higher fixed tariff.

    Some many times I have thought in recent days should I fix my electricity or not. However today I have taken the plunge and fixed with BG for the fix until July 31 2023. For me it's  the most sensible thing to do. 
    Are you going to review today after the government's announcement on help with energy bills?

    I switched to a fix for leccy yesterday with BG - I'll deffo review after any Richi Sunak announcements -altho I don't expect much for us pensioners - they want to level us down until we are all in the same mess !!

    Yeah you keep living longer and longer lol..my Dad is a poor pensioner 🤣🤣🤣 so he tells me.

    That’s interesting the cost worked out more expensive for me than v1

    I am in the same boat v1 was cheaper for me at £1706 yearly . Where as V2 is coming at £1,737 yearly.

    Based on todays events I have cancelled the fix. I do not qualify for the £650 payment but will get the £400 and the extra WFA payment of £300 so should be able to weather the storm.
