Recommendation for Family TRAVEL INSURANCE covering DINGHY SAILING and other WATERSPORTS abroad

Hi there,

I've booked 7 day activity holiday with Neilson in Sardinia in August for my family of three (2 adults and a 10 year old). It will be a very active seashore based holidays. We'll be doing dinghy sailing, windsurfing, paddle boarding and kayaking. I want to get a travel insurance most suitable for this type of holiday, covering all the water sports we'll be doing. I don't mind paying a little bit more to feel protected. Any recommendations?

I would recommend taking a look at insure and go.
Not the cheapest but 5 star defaqto rated.

there are 2 (activity) tables in their policy wording.
one is covered as standard, the second is about an extra £40 for hazardous activities.
I find their policy wording pretty easy to follow and understand.
im not sure whether you’d need to extra add-on as it’s not clear whether your kayaking is sea-kayaking, so you should check out those tables for yourself and also whether you want a bronze, silver or gold policy.
I’ve never claimed with them but pretty happy with the cover and clarity for example if covers covid for uk staycations.

if you’re not sure about anything e.g “dingy sailing” then do the chat and keep a transcript.
