So to no-one's suprise they rejected my appeal. I used the appeal listed in the FAQ. Any advice on how to proceed on this now would be much appreciated. I did notice they didn't mention anything about the site owner's grace period.
These were their replies:

Ignore them from here unless you receive a Letter of Claim from their solicitors or a formal Court Claim via the Northampton CCBC.That sign outlining the hourly charges has nothing indicated whatsoever on it about the £100 PCN for any breach. That's the contract between them and you. Very helpful to you should this reach a court case. Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .
I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.

Parked there late at night as I was staying nearby and paid for parking, apparently I left too late the following morning.Coupon-mad said:Yep, you can see the POFA wording there. So they can hold the keeper liable.
What happened?
Why was the driver there and why unauthorised?
Do the signs require a permit or to use a keypad inside premises to exempt/permit the car VRM?
There was a pay machine which was the only indicator of charges (there was roadworks going on leading into the carpark), apparently the window for payment is inside 8am - 22pm from what I recall.
I would think there is a certain grace period if you've paid the night before, but I'm not sure? No, the reason that they charged you is because you parked after the car park was closed. It doesn't matter when you paid or how much, you were actually trespassing in a closed car park according to their signs, and their NTK which state "Unauthorised parking".PPC's love this sort of confusion it brings home the cash and that signage if that's all ther is (and the Muppets them silly selves sent it) is totally against even the IPC scammers COP.2 -
Hi everyone,

You now need to follow the guidance in the second post in the NEWBIES thread
The first few paragraphs there explain exactly how you should react after having received a Letter Before Claim.
That second post of the NEWBIES thread should be your first port of call from this point on - right through any court claim. Please read that before asking any further questions.3 -
Thank you. I have followed the advice there an already received an email back from the Parallel Parking team asking for my Car Registration and PCN number. Should I be providing this to them in the SAR email?KeithP said:You now need to follow the guidance in the second post in the NEWBIES thread

Credit to them, they returned what looks like all of the information same day I requested it (today). Is there anything in particular I should look for here?
Are the next steps court at this point and what are my odds of actually winning this thing?0 -
The NEWBIES thread 2nd post, tells you our odds and what to expect and do when.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
