E10 Petrol destroyed newly brought car!
Hi All,
I brought a car back in September roughly when the nw E10 petrol was being released due the old one braking down all the time. However I've had no choice but to use E10 petrol as no one sells E5 and it has totally destroyed my Zafira's engine.
This is going to cost me £2K+ in repairs, I do have some questions below if you could be so bold!
Should I pay for the repairs then sell the car? I could get about £3K back for it.
I could sell it asa shell say £500 and add that to the car fund?
Final question anyone heard of anyone going after the government for compensation due to E10 doing this to thousands of cars that are not compatible? But have no choice but to use it.
Regards
OD

How did you establish that the vehicle is not compatible with E10 petrol?
How did you establish that the damage is associated with the E10 petrol?
Did you review the guidance on the Vauxhall website?

Try topping up before you run low? There have been times round by me where there was no E5 but it has mostly been available. All shall be well, and all shall be well, and all manner of things shall be well.
Pedant alert - it's could have, not could of.1 -
