Small tea bags

  • I don't like strong tea either so I buy PG Tips instant tea. Just like instant coffee you use as much as you like. I use half a teaspoon and that's just right for my liking. It says it makes 80 cups but that's if you use the recommended amount of 1 teaspoon per cup, so it makes a lot more for me. £3 at Sainsburys.

Have you tried Rooibos? It doesn't stew as there are no tannins. Loaded with antioxidants. No caffeine. I. love it but not everyone does.

No, we use loose tea, much better and M&S gold tea is cheaper than the supermarkets loose tea.

Sainsburys Red Label for us.  We like our tea quite strong (but not stewed) and achieve that by using just a drop of milk rather than leaving the tea bag in too long.  And yes, we have been known to re-use them!

I'm the sort that likes a strong slice of tea!  And generally I use teabags as I'm lazy.  But the OH likes to brew up special teas which he buys from a shop that just sells tea, coffee and the paraphanalia to go with it. Given that they probably have a hundred different blends theres bound to be something that it light and delicate as you might like.

The times I do use loose tea I found the easiest thing to do is to get a "bell" but I have the type that is spring loaded so you can just dip it into to pick up as much or as little as you like.  I use this often in the evenings for the sleepy tea (generally hemp & chamomile)

Tea is meant to be loose and brewed in the pot. End of.
