It would be worth doing a bit of research into what you want to see and planning your spare days, if just loosely. I missed some things I would have loved to have seen (ancient archaeology) but it is so busy there your brain gets a bit swamped once you arrive 😊

Long time, no update!
In fairness because it feels like not much has happened? Especially financially. Everything is staying pretty steady.
I had a weekend in London at Comic Con and I'm still recovering from it (had an amazing time, but socially VERY exhausting, despite the lack of masking and being among fellow nerds, especially as I was sharing a room and had literally no downtime at all)
I had the week off before (in part to prepare for the excessive amounts of socialising), and spent it very quietly. Have spent a lot of money on plants - some veg, some perennials. Most of these have been delivered now and are in the ground. All out of the budgeted garden fund though! Shed and seating are taking a back seat, as are bird table and bird bath, but at the minute I just want to get some plants in the ground and get it looking like a garden.
Money-wise not planning to do much until after I get back from Malta. Still need to book a hotel for the night before at Gatwick along with parking, and look at itineraries. That's next on the list now this weekend is out of the way.

I find house stuff waits until autumn too …. 😉
Steady as she goes is good, especially after a move. When it gets ‘boring’ is how and when you find the energy for additional work, decluttering, organising, doing etc., I find 😊

A friend was at comic con this weekend - she showed me some great pics! I wonder if you crossed paths !DON'T BUY STUFF (from Frugalwoods)
No seriously, just don’t buy things. 99% of our success with our savings rate is attributed to the fact that we don’t buy things... You can and should take advantage of discounts.... But at the end of the day, the only way to truly save money is to not buy stuff. Money doesn’t walk out of your wallet on its own accord.
