OK, your defence wasn't exactly a defence but it is what you submitted and what we have to go with.

Hopefully, one of the experts will come along today or tomorrow and give you advice on how to prepare your witness statement based on the defence you provided. In the meantime, you can search for other witness statement. Two recent ones posted here are by @aphex007 or @SJRRJS. Have a look at theirs for ideas on how to prepare yours.

Re-read the Newbies thread for more information.

Edited to add: On the page 3 picture of the claimants WS, item 10, you have not redacted your address. You may want to do that now.

Well, your WS can point out that the Claimant has failed to comply with the court Directions which requires a witness statement from the 'parties'.

That's a WS from a paralegal who is not an employee of the Claimant, not a witness to the event or facts and not a 'party'. AND she won't turn up for the hearing to be questioned so this so-called WS holds little or no weight.

Say that near the start, then point out what you've spotted yourself about the evidence pics (undated?  Pics of signs that aren't there?).

Then obviously you are doing your story, your WS and evidence which you were fully expecting because the NEWBIES thread tells everyone about that stage and that 'defence is not your only job'.

PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

    Thank you so much.

I think what you mean by defence, was what I put on the form to the County Court Business Centre, in which case, i now realise that was not the defence they would have been looking for, but at the time I had no idea what they meant.  It's only due to you kind souls that I am getting anywhere!

I am extremely grateful, as this has been causing me more stress then im sure it should.

Perhaps I should have just paid the £60 to start with, but I was 100% certain that I was right in displaying the parking permit like I was.  I was not the only person in that car park in the morning confused by the PCN's. It was a matter of principle that I was not going to pay a fine when I was displaying the parking permit that my daughter had been issued.
