Hi, first time poster here, but long time lurker, so please be nice, its a long and twisted tail, which you can get the gist of by reading my complaint email, I have phoned them about 6 times, and emailed twice, and now I am going to send them hard copies of the emails. Anyway here is my complaint letter, and I would love, some advice on how to get my money back from them, any help - would be amazing!
This is my seventh time of trying to contact you about this problem, and to be honest I am a little bit annoyed at how you treat your customers.
I purchased tickets for the McFly show back in April when they first came on sale, You sold me, 3 tickets in Block BK EE, Row B, at £23.50 with a full service charge of £3.50 on each ticket.
Firstly, My tickets were never posted out to me, even though your company seems to think they were, they were not, after FOUR ATTEMPTS, at trying to contact you, two times through this form, and twice on your phone line, I finally got informed that I would be able to pick them up at the box office. When I arrived, I picked up the tickets with out a problem, but when I went to the seats, three people, who had purchased their tickets through the SECC website directly, had the real tickets to the seats, I took my complaint to the management of the SECC and he informed me that your company has sold tickets which they do not have authorization to sell, and so my tickets were void, and you had taken £83.25 of my money and given me nothing in return for it!
With advice from the staff at the SECC i was told to contact you and demand a refund, which I think is the very least you can do as these tickets were purchased as a gift for my sisters birthday, who was in tears to find out you had made this mistake, I also travelled 120miles to this event, only to be told we didn't have seats, not to mention my sister had to spend the whole day in Glasgow waiting for this event.
I contacted you ON THE NIGHT, of the event, and was told that you would sort the problem out, I contacted you again on the Tuesday and was told, once again it would be sorted out, I called again on Friday, and once again got told to wait and you would phone me back by the Monday of the next week, of course you did not call, so I called back once again, and sat waiting in a queue on your 0870 phone number, to be told that the situation would be taken care of and I should complain, in writing via this web form, the same Web form which you happened to ignore the last two times I sent it.
I am a student, and do not have the money to buy non-existent tickets to events, or to travel 120 miles to be told it was for nothing, or to even sit for hours waiting to talk to your staff only to be told, that its been taken care of when it clearly isn't.
So this is my formal complaint, and if this goes ignored, or is not resolved and I at least get a full refund of the money that I have wasted on your website, I will be taking this further, as I think you will agree, this is your mistake and you clearly were in the wrong.

have you spoken to a manager, ring up and ask to speak to a manager and dont let them hang up without speaking to one0

Apparently there is no manager at the call center which I have called, they also told me that their would be a Glasgow office I could complain to, which there is not, and that it was being "taken care off" but every time i phone up i get someone else.0

Why not try claiming the money back through the small claims court?2014 Target;

Oh, how would i go about that? I have no clue about these type of things!0

Were you removed from the venue?
And do you have any proof of such?0 -
I think you need to write to them informing them that unless they sort out the situation within 14 days you will be taking them to the small claims court.
Then if they haven't responded by the deadline you can proceed with the claim using the www.moneyclaim.gov.uk website. You will have to pay a fee but if you are successful in your claim then you can claim this back off the other side.2014 Target;

how did you pay for these tickets? If by credit card you can get them to refund the money.0

forget email and phone calls.
put a complaint letter in writing you want at minimum a refund of costs(although wasted travel costs etc could be considered here)
with a 14 day time scale ot contact you and organise a refund or you will commence a small claims action against them.
send the letter by signed for either recorded or special delivery0 -
I would also ask for travel costs, phone cost and other costs (your wasted time and efort) as it was not your fault they messed up.
I would go straight to letter aswell if you had no joy on the phone0
