The basic maths, not taking account of increases, are gross it takes 139 weeks to get the outlay back, net of tax 174 weeks. Considering the gross payback time has decreased from 165 weeks in 16-17, due to the payback value increasing by a greater percentage than the cost, it is still excellent value and better than anything you could purchase on the open market equivalent to a 37.5% increasing single lifetime annuity, up from 31.5% in 16-17. Nothing about viability has really changed over the years and the only scenario in which it still does not make sense to purchase extra years is if you would otherwise be reliant on pension credit.
Never associate with idiots on their own level, because, being an intelligent man, you'll try to deal with them on their level - and on their level they'll beat you every time.
Being hated by idiots is the price you pay for not being one of them.
