Yes,I know about the zoom business, but dont fancy it,and not sure about hearing it clearly, basically deaf in one ear from all the constant ear infections, and the other is rather poor too. Its just not my sort of thing. I 'll look on line for any useful info.
About Truss as a politician and leader I truly despise her,but I put myself in her position mentally and I cringe at the humiliation. Got to hope she resigns before PMQs tomorrow, because they will tear her apart.Sorry about the cancer. I had a hysterectomy 6 years ago,and the hormone disruption may have helped with the weight gain. We have no luck,do we :)
Two more years of the tories will destroy the NHS entirely, which is their purpose. Every time I see Hunt on the TV my blood boils because he was instrumental in overseeing all the disastrous policies which have ruined the health service. The tories used toblare out ''the NHS is safe in our hands!'' They dont even bother even giving that lipservice today.
Even if Labour got in the mess on all fronts is so dire it will be very difficult to put right. WE are, basically screwed for the next decade. And all just to make rich people richer........

apologies for going AWOL Dusty. Was feeling tired and a bit wiped out. I was trying to keep up with Beanielou still trying to find somewhere to get her jab with onsite parking she has a motobility car and struggles to walk.
I've been lucky not to have after effects following my jabs, never contacted the virus or flu in winter flu season.
I'm aware you're on a very tight budget but could you start a little pot for taxi travel.? Doing that is I beleive what has kept me free of infection. Using the long established firm who are contracted to our local husband for delivering bloods and many other things meant they were double jabbed before we were and always wear facemasks.
I'm not at all techy but all my children learned in school. Youngest has had face to face appts with our GP during the recent years with our GP which was really good for those ECV or limited in other ways when surgeries were unable to operate as normal. It was also a way of doing what would be regular appts elsewhere online.
The course you want to take part in could be somewhere to travel to and from by taxi. and does sound as though it could be very helpful.
I'm glad the B12 jab seems to be helping but something you mention often is having an upset stomach or cramps etc. I'm not a Dr but years ago among youngests repeat meds was Metformin. With19 meds on monthly repeat including an immune suppressant she's been on for years our GP was constantly checking at her two weekly appts .One of the things she was diagnoses with in her teens was PCOS and the Metrormin was supposed to help with that.
Over time it became obvious that was no longer suitable. She's always had full blood tests each month due to being immune suppressed ant the labs at the hospital would send  the results back to our surgery the results started to show problems re her liver and other  things .
She'd been suffering from nausea ,vomiting and pain for a while which then added loss of appetite. a horrible taste in her mouth and began to showVitB 12 deficiency our GP took her off Metformin . It was quite a long time ago so can't remember what the replacement was he was often needing to alter various meds but it did solve the problems and the blood results were coming back near normal for some things as in the past.
I'm unable to summon up any sympathy for the present PM. During the run up to the leadership election she was one I saw as a poor choice for PM . Never voted Toty in my life but it's been very bad to watch her stating her plans then back tracking yet again.
No insight into how many were already struggling before the pandemic and how the currnet situation is making things even harder . Making promises  now  torn up by chancellor No4  in a very short time..
I've spent a lot of time watching the BBC reporter Chris Mason on TV a man with his head in the right place and the recent interview with her showed she's i n her own little world..

I haven't checked the news yet today but am wondering if the promised increase to the winter fuel allowance will go ahead. Alreadt backtracked on her pledge to raise pensions in line with inflation and other things. It's like some horrible comedy series but isn't in any way funny.

ETA sorry for the typos but agree the system is well and truly broken now and flip flopping during the pandemic really contributed to that.

It's loely how often you are willing to send something helpful to various posters beanie. I'm older than you have been thorugh the difficult imes in the past and weathered the storms however I'm not prepared to go gently in to that good night due to an unfit Govt. my concern is with the generations of all ages following mine including the much younger and the youngsters now already messed about with schooling over the past few years. nad often unable to access support services they'd had over the years
You couldn't imagine or make this stuff up poorly managed with a lot of ignoring the experts along the way. Making the rules they'd then break while so many of us followed the rules and found our normal became a new normal. very unlike what we'd been used to although we were used to taking care in flu season and avoiding the coughers and sneezers.
If your GP hasn't responded to your email re having your jab in a disability friendly site I hope you find something suitable asap.
I'm not sure if the first minister of Scotland is aware of the problems many are facing in that respect . It takes online feedback for her to be made aware of some problems. At present she seems to be tackling many things including the hope for Indy.
When my eldest dd was often on the phone to her re opening all her stores after lockdowns then having to close them again with another lockdown  Nicola was always polite  but would tell her those were the rules.
I know Ian Blackford doesn't represent where you live but have watched him  at PMQs  stating the truth abonut many things and being shouted down.
Unlike Dennis Skinner aka The Beast of Bolsover often dragged from the chamber still stating the truth I'm only aware of Ian being ordered from the chamber once by the Speaker a short while ago during a very heated debate. The speaker normally let him carry on with what he was saying as he was making valid points the opposition didn't like .
Did you manage to sort the hole in your new coat pocket ? You are going to need that warm coat in the days ahead.
My bargain price of many years big coat has kept me warm for years and I still have the other I spotted on the big river site not as cheap but well below the original selling price.
Take care beanie Miss Summer will hopefully be a feline hot water bottle when you're on the laptop. However cats don't always fit that criteria and Miss Summer does have a very posh proper cat bed.
Youngests brother and sister rescues do cheer her up. If she's ill the big boy will snuggle up with her however his smaller sister will take herself to the top of a radiator and once stole a warm blanket I'd bought youngest for the sleepless nights she spent on the sofa hoping not to disturb her bf travelling to work but later working from home.
She never got the blanket back or lots of the things Mags would hide away.
    Miss Summer seems much kinder.
Both the cats have beds they don't use  just the normal  sort which they rejected nothing like MIss Summers mini version of a proper bed.

I never knew that bed was a dolls bed from Ikea it looked very expensive and I thought it was from somehere selling expensive cat beds , Every day is  a school day.
Reading elsewhere you've had another 3 falls I hope you aren't too bruied or battered. It must be such a shock when they happen and really shake you up
Haven't you had any reply to your email to your GP re not being  able to find somwhere to have your jab with onsite parking? It's so wrong not to meet the needs of those unable to park elsewhere and walk to the place they will get their jab.
I'm just looking at a big headline on BBC news. Warning of Winter Blackouts oh the joy!
At difficult times in history there were coalition govts which sometimes tackled difficult situations but we seem to be hurtling towards the worst of times with promises broken and rising energy bills and promised help cut.
We do need to keep plodding but it's hard finding reasons to be cheerful. Just watching the weather not looking good for NE Scotland tomorrow.
When we head in to winter I'll be glued to those forecasts. I was glad to get both the first part of the COL payment in my current account and collect the second smaller payment from the Post Office but they seem like a drop in the ocean now compared with the imcreased energy bills now being discussed and other promises now being backtracked on.
We seem to be living in those " Interesting Times" Sir Terry Pratchett often wrote about.
    Take care beanie.
I hope Dusty is ok. All the setting budgets then things changing again can be very tiring when you are trying to manage and the goalposts keep moving.
