Your electricity meter readings are1 April 22 589kWh15 Apr 22 679kWh30 Apr 22 776kWhYou used 187kWh in April.Presumably the R denotes an actual or smart Reading.Did you press the right buttons?0

You say you were there from 01-09th April so a third of the month. That might account for circa 40-80 kWh usage depending on your habits.
That leaves 21 days and 1-2kWh a day. Don't suppose you accidentally left the immersion on ticking over?
If not it's investigation time for you with the fuse board and hunting down the vampire device0 -

Utilita charges more for the first 2 KWh of gas and electricity instead of having a standing charge.
It seems they normally do this on a day to day base, so it is the first 2KWh per day, but somebody mentioned that there is also a monthly tariff where the first 60KWh are charged at the higher rate each. The OP is in the smart energy tariff and that one seems to be monthly. So it seems that there is a use for both, gas and electricity of more than 2KWh per day as they are charging 60KWh each at the expensive rate.
So the problem is not only for electricity, gas is also used every day.
Have you checked the meter readings for your gas and electricity meter already? You are saying that the cabling from your meter goes direct into your flat, but if the wrong meter is assigned to your bill that does not mean anything. What is the current read for it?1 -
I'm 80% sure that the meter serial number mixup is the root cause of this. The OP is being billed for someone else's meter.OP, what does your meter read today? Is it anything like the readings on the bill? Here's a video on how to read it, if you don't know:

I agree with @QrizB. Meter mis-registrations are all too common. The trick here is finding out which property has your meter and then get the supplier to change the address on the National Database. DO NOT under any circumstances get the supplier to transfer the correct meter serial to your address.
When a property is built, it will be allocated a plot/apartment number. It will then be allocated a MPAN. Once the meter is fitted this will be linked to the MPAN. What happens is that the property/apartment is registered on the database as No14 when it was Plot 14. When Plot 14 is allocated a postal address it could end up as NO 6. Delinking the serial number from the MPAN will result in widespread chaos.0 -
It is not just one meter, it's both, gas and electricity as both show daily use on the invoice.
The developer or supplier must have registered the wrong meters to his account.
I'm willing to bet that the reading on the meter at his flat will be different to the one on the bill.0 -
I'm with Utilita and pay monthly. It's not a smart meter, I enter my reading online every month. My electric for the last month is £62 and that is a 3 bed semi with 3 occupants and I use my oven most days.
The previous month the electric was £45 but of course the price hike happened at the beginning of last month.
Something is clearly wrong if you are certain nothing at all was on. Hubby is disabled so home all day and we must use the kettle at least a dozen times a day plus 2 of us using the electric shower every day.0 -
Classic wrong plot number meter allocation by builders need to contact company with your photographic evidence and try to get them to contact dcc to change it. Also try to find out from builders where 771 meter is log to eg flat number.0

The meter attributed to you registers about 4 kWh of use per day. The reading on 30th April was 776 so today it should read about 810. Have a look at your meter and see what it reads.Reed0
