  • Hi @MSE_Sophie,

I notice in your article you say
This will be free for Sky Cinema subscribers with Sky's Glass, Q or +HD services.
I'm a Sky customer with Sky Cinema, but still using a Sky+ HD box, rather than the newer Sky Glass or Sky Q services.
Your comment above gives me some hope that I will get Paramount+ at no extra cost when it launches.
I'm pretty sure the Sky+ HD box won't itself be able to show Paramount+ (it doesn't do apps) but I have a Roku so that won't be a problem.
But I haven't seen a confirmation from Paramount+ that Sky+ HD customers will be able to create a Paramount+ account somehow.
Looking at the ParamountPlusUK twitter account they have said https://twitter.com/ParamountPlusUK/status/1526554402705838081
From 22nd June, if you create your account through Sky Q or Sky Glass you'll be able to log in and access Paramount+ through the standalone app or compatible streaming devices
but no mention of Sky+ HD.
I did try asking this question of the ParamountPlus UK twitter account - https://twitter.com/DetailMerchant/status/1526129233243754496 - but I got no reply.
Do you know that Sky customers with Sky Cinema using Sky+ HD will get Paramount+ for no extra charge based on information from Paramount, or from Sky?

Thanks in advance for any extra information you can offer.

For Sky+HD it'll probably appear in the same section your Peacock stuff appears - in the On-Demand section.

Indeed https://www.radiotimes.com/tv/how-to-watch-paramount-plus-uk/ says  "Sky said in a statement back in August [2021] that this will be about "providing access to two fantastic services side by side with more than 10,000 hours of extra content for one affordable price". This is similar to the availability of streaming service Peacock in the UK.  Sky Cinema customers will be able to access Paramount Plus from their box at home upon its launch."

    Hi Neil,
    I think you are correct.
I got a reply from Sky on twitter and they said:
From June 22, Sky+ customers with Sky Cinema will see Paramount+ movies and TV shows on their Sky+ box. There won't be as many titles available on Sky+ as there are Sky Glass and Sky Q. Sky+ customers also won't have access to the Paramount+ app.
So hopefully the Sky+ subset will include the shows I am interested in, e.g. Star Trek: Strange New Worlds.
I'll just have to be patient for another week...

Launched in the US last year, though it has been around in one form or another since 2014.

I don't see why it is an inappropriate time?
