UC LCWRA appeal

Had a support work coach appt and after this he wanted to send me to a usual work coach for regular more frequent appointments and to get back into work as soon as possible. I mentioned that i'm on LCW until September 2023 but the indication was they'd like me to do work before then, even home working. I understand that this is within LCW work preparation 'related activities' but does it mean actual work? They seem to think so but i thought within LCW you have to prepare for work but not look for a job. When I can't work because of eye or gout flare ups what then? It's one of the reasons i've given for LCWRA, that the time taken off would mean I can't keep employment. I might be able to get work but no employer will let me take so much time off. Randomly with notice in the morning. The flare ups are random and for unknown time.
I know the JC work coaches have to do what they do so there's no angst against them.

They should seek advice as they have this ongoing claim with LCW. I'd advise them to read the Alice post on potential other avenues to LCWRA than they have in mind i.e. in addition to the substantial risk if not found to have...... n-f descriptor. Advice for their PIP claim seems a bit simpler through a fresh claim but again I'm mindful that might not be emotionally simple given what it means acceptance of by claimant... it's advice that makes sense but I too would struggle to follow it.1 -
It might be best to delete your last post and start a new thread on that issue. As it is unrelated to the thread title

I'll delete it if there's no relevant advice within this thread but my question is "can they make you take a job within LCW" separate to preparing for one.
(I assume you meant the post about the JC appt not the reply to Muttleythefrog)0 -

You can clearly use the internet and use devices connected to it for a not an insignificant period as you are demonstrating on this forum so they could find vacancies that allow you to work from home which covers your mobility issues. Other than that they can put you forward for voluntary work to build your skill set and I'm sure many will cater for disabilities
And anything you earn will mean you are better off financially. Work for anyone is better than being 100% reliant on benefits even if its for a small amount.0 -

(However it has been covered many times in this overlong thread - the OP seemingly hasn't understood its significance) .
The OP has been placed in the LCW group by the tribunal because they recognise that he cannot safely work. He has been found not fit for work.
The LCWRA criteria is different - to be placed in that group there has to additionally be substantial risk to health if required to attend work focused JC appointments.
For the OP to be placed in the LCWRA group he would need to evidence that attending work-focused interviews would also pose a substantial risk to his health. It is meaningless arguing that LCWRA applies because work poses a risk -that's already been recognised by the LCW award.
Alice Holt Forest situated some 4 miles south of Farnham forms the most northerly gateway to the South Downs National Park.5 -

But if his Work Coach discovers a job or avenue into earning more money then the OP -his client- has improved his situation. They might be extremely limited in what they can do but you never know in an era of working from home the OP could avoid the issues of travelling to work and has shown on here an ability to use a device connected to the internet for a considerable time.
Using a computer at home leisurely is different to using it in a work setting.
In my last call with the work coach we discussed home working and will look into it. However my question in the post was that with LCW there is no obligation to look for work but prepare for it. He's wanting me to take up paid work asap. It's a different thing. I've said to him i'd like to prepare for when my LCW is reassessed (it may even be renewed) and i'm off it but that is in September 2023.0 -

If he has an employer in mind that can accommodate you will you welcome an interview or are you determined to be seen as unfit to work ?0
