Afternoon all x
Before dancing I emptied my cutlery drawer and cleaned the tray and contents. 2x wm and cleaned the bathroom
DH did the rest of the towel wash and vacuumed the house whilst I was out.
After the classes I had a private lesson to learn my show dance as I haven’t been able to manage to go to my usual lesson after work.

musical theatre, ballet and swimming done. Having a cuppa and wrapping Lionels birthday pressies and heading to DD1's..
Tsco shop done.. it was mad busy, Squeak had a panic attack at the till, there was one young man (Jack.. so I remember his name for the email later), new to the store, by himself, on the manic self serve and scan as you shop and he was so flustered. I went to the customer services and said he should not have been left by himself at this mad busy time. He was a lovely young man and just overwhelmed and struggling.. he had a 'new staff member' badge and absolutely should not have been left alone. I would have been furious if he was my son. Anyway.. after they had rescanned half our trolley and OH had taken the girls to the car to calm down I paid and the vouchers wouldn't be accepted so Tesco are getting a raging email later on.
Shopping all away.
I managed to wind 2 of the 5 skeins of wool for the shawl I am knitting next.. that took as age as the second one was so tangled!
I did buy the magazine so I can finish the animal blanket though.. I really should start sewing it together!

I am sneaking in (very) late.......apologies!!
I have briefly read back on the thread. Valli sending you huge hugs and lots of strength xx
I have been pottering away, mainly flitting from one task to another without finishing much! However, the laundry is being done, WU up straight and LR tidyish.
Last week was a busy one - DD1 had a baby shower for friends & family in the south. She is doing another in June for her local friends & family. I am glad it is out of the way - many cakes were baked (and eaten!).
The keys have been handed back for DMiL's house - the end of an era. She had lived there for 55 years. Needless to say, we have acquired 'stuff', and much of it needs sorting/rehoming etc. Many tip/CS runs have been done.
I have been trying to get on top of things in the garden/allotment. It has been very dry. For those struggling with digging - try looking up no dig! Much easier on the back
Unfortunately, I didn't get any done today as it was threatening rain and I kept getting distracted by nothing in particular!
I need to do some admin while I have the laptop on (check accommodation for upcoming Edinburgh trip!), and then I will continue with the dino mobile I am crocheting for DGS
Hugs, sticks and spoons to those that need them x7 -
I have been to the farrier (aka chiropodist), posted a birthday card to DSiL (95 on Tuesday) and bought cards for 2 other people, slept for an hour in the afternoon, watched Miss Marple, walked Rosie, gave the lawn a haircut, sent some emails, and tried to ring my eldest goddaughter but got no reply. Enough for a Saturday!9

Hi ladies
Sneaking in, absolutely worn out. Since 7am I have:
- Cleaned out the hens
- Dealt with 17,624 seedlings
- Done 4 loads of washing, all of which has dried and been FUPA
- Done two DW runs, most unusual for me as I don’t tend to use it anymore but needs must today
- Cleared up after the children constantly
- Made a million meals and snacks
- De scaled the kettle
- Kept the fire going (chilly wind here today)
- Written an ‘I need to achieve this by the end of the year’ list
- Emailed a local social enterprise about compost
- Shuffled money
- Entertained two extra kids for an hour
I am now officially exhausted and have another busy week ahead. Tomorrow is hen collecting, a tip run and swimming. Really CBA for all of it, can I have a spa day please? X

Hayfever is BAAAAD today. At some point yesterday I have injured my right wrist and thumb. I can't do anything with it and my wrist brace is for the left hand because that is the one with the worst RSI.. I have tried medication and waiting for that to kick in.. so 7 pills later my eyes are sticky, my snoot is snotty , everything still hurts.. but I make a nice rattly sound if you shake me. I wnder if I would sound like a rain maker if I was upside down!?
I have a summer house, a 10x20 shed and the million miles of fence to paint today too.. I wan't to get thesummerhouse built next weekend or during the week, bit by bit so is HAS to be done today.. OH got a sprayer so we will see if I can mange that because I can not manage a brush.
the girls need a bath.Cat trays need dealing with and the spidies need planting and there are 3 trays of bedding plants to go in and the DW and laundry to do.. I can't do most of that with my wrist like this.. I had a different wrist support thing if I can find it but I think I gave that to DS1 aaaages ago..

Dragging myself in late - I thought it was still morning!
Late night last night, but a good time seemed to be had by all. Bonus that we have some leftovers which makes today a mix and match no cooking day. DH, however, seems to be feeling the effects iyswim 🤣.
I spent a couple of hours pottering at the allotment, which is bone dry. No rain had here for weeks now. GI - a couple of allotment holders on our tiny plot have moved to no-dig, but they both had access to wood to build raised beds and mounds of compost and manure. Unfortunately I have access to neither, and allotmenting on chalk and flint on a slope makes them both necessary!! But I hold out hope that one day my back garden veg plot will actually happen and that will be no-dig!
