Evening all
A long day at work, stuck in inexplicable traffic on the way home.
Flying has been limited - WULTD, tomorrow’s lunch prepped, parcel packaged up at DD’s request, only to find that I have to drive miles to a drop off point. Not a happy bunny. Poorly car going into the garage on Monday night for Tuesday investigation.DH given a Very Specific Shopping List, as we have some friends coming on Saturday. Given his track record at sticking to the list, plus the fact that he isn’t back yet, it is not boding well for the budget or what he has actually bought.
Hugs to all xx9 -
Fayolle - Traffic here has been horrendous for the past 6 weeks. Took me an hour on Friday to do a 5 min journey. Not sure what is going off apart from people going back to work and all the new houses they keep building around here.
Teams meeting with ds2’s s/w tonight. Home has got 3 months to make progress or else apparently.
Ground floor vacuumed
1xwm done
coffee maker cleaned
worktop cleared ready for central heating service tomorrow
DH took weelie’s around, meanwhile I sorted the fridge and binned lots of unidentifiable items.8 -

Good morning. I left some washing hanging out overnight and we have sunshine
I just about survived yesterday's trip to the zoo, though it was a close thing. One very excited 8yo hopped, skipped and jumped her way from one exhibit to the next much faster than I could! Lovely animals with lots of babies. The diet went out of the window with exorbitantly priced sausage roll for lunch and a cooling (and much cheaper) ice cream from the van in the car park mid-afternoon - as recommended by the nice man on the pay desk, so no problem getting back in to the zoo to see the last few animals after making our purchases. Not an MSE day, but it was worth it. I did get a bit fed up with the repetition of "cute" and "a-ma-zing" and tried to introduce a wider range of descriptions, but by the end I was too tired to bother.
Fortunately most of tea was in the SC, after which I took said 8yo to Cubs (yes, she still had enough energy for dodgeball!), walked Rosie, brought in the washing that I'd hung out early in the morning, ironed pillowcases and one of DH's shirts, and re-made my bed. Then I slept like a log for 7 hours.
Today's jobs:
- Strip DH's bed ✅
- WMx3 and hang out
- S&S kitchen ✅
- Get mince out to defrost ✅
- Close a bank account
- Pay a bill
- Write a brief Treasurer's report
- Check home insurance renewal
- Start a Gift Aid claim
- Make lasagne and a cake
- Iron DH's pillowcases
- Collect DGD1+2 from school and feed them and DS1 when he gets here
- Make up DH's bed and change my winter duvet for the lightweight one (DGD2 is a great help with this, so I will take advantage of her being here)
-Take DH to wargames club this evening
- Collapse in a heap and relaaaaax
Hope everyone has a good day xx
