YL .. that podiatry appointment sounds absolutely necessary!! We can self refer to the NHS podiatrist here.. it is so weird how everything is different in different areas. 2 of mine were under podiatry from being able to walk and always had ortho inserts. Due to their hypermobility/hemi hypertropthy 2 will have to use them forever. I'm so pleased you had a pain free walk! DD1 had plantar fasciitis so I got her the arch fit skechers for christmas and she has been so much better.. unless she wear silly shoes on the school run. It is horrible being in pain whenever you try to do the things you enjoy.
Healing hugs for Valli.. and of course anyone else in need.
I need to sort Squeaks lesson stuff for the week and get her on with working. We have plans to watch the Sound of Music this week.. at some point.. I know the script so it is quite necessary! Her mission is to find about the real Von Trapp escape to America and the setting up of the music school and maybe lead into more modern history becaus eshe has absolutely no interest in the stuff school would be teaching now.. and honestly I can't say I blame her!
It still looks like rain out there but the washing i going out anyway and if it rains it rains, I don't care.
I have 5 birds done for Miss Squizz.. 4 are almost finished, one is just an egg, a mauve egg, but still an egg. I need a red one next I think.
I forgot it was the 1st this weekend so I was massively overdrawn so I need to check the bank balances and see what I can shuffle about.I need to tick off bills which are paid.Dig out the shed/fence paint and prod DS2 and Boog into painting the shed and fence I thinkI need to trot to the shop for fence nails.. a few of them have rusted away over the last 16 years so I need to get that fixed. We need to decide on colours for the summerhouse.. I'm think 2 shades of green.. OH is boring and wants to do it brown.. but I AM going with green.. I am also painting the underside of the floor with bitumen paint as well I thinkLB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)9 -

Hi all
Thanks Pigpen, long waiting lists here to see an NHS podiatrist so although I generally dont agree with going private I decided to bite the bullet and pay. I cant get the ortho insoles in all my shoes so it's going to take some working out but I am so pleased that I have an answer to the ankle pain.
Jealous of your 10 days off Round. I had arranged a site visit today and the person I was supposed to be meeting didnt show up, I became convinced I had got the wrong day, found my work mobile wasnt charged, couldnt get a signal on my private mobile, dropped my keys into my laptop bag then couldnt find them and generally had a bit of a meltdown.
So, 8 hours done at the paid stuff and minimal flying. Work is very busy, I am half glad its a four day week and half panicking because I have so much to do.
Tomorrow is another day and all that.

YL. can you take the current sole out of your shoe? Or try a wider fit? we also have to go up half a shoe size to fit them in sometimes.

Sorry I've only been lurking at odd moments. Still trying to get paperwork finished in time to meet deadlines
Dropped in to say I'll be thinking of you tomorrow, Valli, and hoping all goes well for you xx
DH has also got a horse piddle appointment first thing in the morning: his third pre-op assessment. Fingers and everything else crossed... Then when we get back here I desperately need to do some flying!
I am sad to report that I haven't see Mrs Goldfinch on her nest in the past few days. It has been wet and cold, which does not bode well for the eggs
(((Hugs))) spoons and sticks all round, as needed xx

Spent the morning at the new job. I cannot find any documentation relating to booking rooms for meetings. This means all I have to go on is the events calendar. And without signed agreements I cannot enforce T&C re bookings.
This is afternoon I have 'tidied' the office/guest room. it looks no better or clearer despite shredding/flinging and putting away. I have a stash of stuff to take to job 1 including eleventybillion poly pockets. Ferlinggg
After exchanging numerous (well 2) emails with a potential pta treasurer she tells me she works 9-5 and cannot spare the time. I've taught f/t and STILL 'treasured'. I don't know her, she needs to communicate with the pta committee not me...it's fine if she can't commit...some weeks I do nothing but when there's an event it's full on. Anyway, not my circus and all that. Come Christmas card order time I'm keeping my head down. I have tidied up the spreadsheet, separated it into classes, one per sheet, made it perfectly clear where prices need to be input if they change and suggested they get a team together, because it's an onerous task.
Actually they ought to be planning a Sumner Fair...
washing line dried, not ironed though. Coat hangers from wardrobe rearranging no longer needed cos I bought velour non slip ones put in a bag. Finally.
Love the birdies...
