Summerhouse being delivered in the next 2 hours.. OH is working so not quite sure what I am supposed to do with it.. I'm sure I can figure something out.. just hoping the happy chappies doing deliveries on a bank holiday are not grumpy.. I don't even have a bag of sweets I could fling at them as thanks.2 full loads of laundry to hang out once it has been delivered.. it will be in the way if I hang it out now so it has to wait.I am knitting dangly birds for my grandpink.. a rainbow of them so hang in her bedroom.. they are quite silly.. I'm not sure if I should make a 'mobile' out of them or just on a string.. The first one needs legs.
I am hoping to redo the buttonbands on GB5s aran cardy today too. It is his birthday tomorrow and I would like to take it then.. I have done the bands once but they look a bit tight so I want more stitches in them.. and then I need to dig out buttongs and THEN I can start the blue version for GB4.. same size but blue. GP is having pink and GB3 is having cream the same as GB5. Then I will do GB2 something because I haven't knitted anything for him for aaaaages.... not really sure if he would like anytihng tbh.. might just do him a creeper hat and jumper. .. Obviously this will not all get done today and withh be one of a bunch of projects while I continue with Dr Who scarves 3 and 4 and 5 single bed blankets and 2 bunnies and a smaller rainbow blanket for whichever grandbeast come salong next.. figured having a stash will be good. I might do a couple for DD1's friends baby too. I have the biggest stash to work through and most of it is in one of 2 boxes, one int he living room and one on the landing.. they cannot stay there!
DW needs to go onCat trays need dealing with.I need to source some decent vinyl flooring for the hallway so I can bin the disgusting carpet Hazel insists on using as a toilet.. it might be less fun to pee on if it makes noise and is easily cleaned.. OH and I were longing for the days of pee in the kitchen the other day, it was so much easier cleaning the slate floor!
I need to sort a clean for the oven.. and source a new bulb..I intend on building the kitchen unit and nagging the builder guy to come fit it like he was supposed to have done a week ago.. !!!!!! is wrong with people?? The roof guy never did turn up.. (23rd MARCH!!) and this one.. why are tradespersons all so unreliable?? If a job runs over you apologise and get there asap surely..In light of OH not being given the increased hourly rate I need to rethink our monthly budget or get a iple of stuff thrown at V!nted to bring in some quids.. I am working on the flingage too.. I'm aiming for at least £400 this month.. I have bills to pay!!
I hope all is fine Valli.. sending all the vibes and light and love your way.
I hope everyone has a lovely day.. I will not shift my lazy self..

I’m a lurker hoping to join in….going to be a strange week as after several years of being self employed hubby is going out to work….a huge change in household routine but I’m sure we will get used to it
today I’ve focused on washing while it’s dry weather and cooking a roast as wed-sat I’ll be doing easy quick freezer junk meals I suspect 😂
hope you all enjoying bank holiday10 -

Spent an hour at the Allotment, harvesting stones. Then another hour faffing in the gh.
Towels washed and out on the line, as no rain here. Dw just finished. 2 cars washed and temporarily free from pigeon poop. It feels like I’ve been busier.9 -
Hi all
Back home after a lovely long weekend away, nice to be home with you all and much love to Valli. Hoping you get good news hun xx
Glad the summerhouse has arrived Pigpen.
Just updated my finance spreadsheets. We overspent last month on food and diesel, not really sure how. I also spent £105 on a trip to a podiatrist and have got orthotics to correct my foot problem. Not exactly essential but being able to walk nearly 7 miles yesterday with no pain was amazing.
Car emptied of camping stuff and all packed away, a load of washing done and mostly dried outside. Parsnip soup made with a bag of YS parsnips that I am not sure I know why I bought as I dont really like parsnips. I will take it to work for my lunch. Need to make a mealplan for the week, just remembered I have the hairdresser tomorrow so thats more expense!

Another one home after a long weekend...
Hugs to Valli and here's hoping for a good outcome.
Lake swim this morning, lovely, then long chat over coffee with swim buddy.
I load through WM, hung out.
Curiously as being away involved visiting Gardener's World show plus helping Mum in her garden, we seem to have ended up with more plants than we left home with......so afternoon deciding where they could go.
Other than that, it has been unpacking, watering, filling bird feeders and sorting out all the other 'stuff' that creep up when you're away.
Slinky planning much needed here, still ploughing through Easter eggs and birthday chocs which isn't helping.Remember...a layer of dust protects the wood beneath it.11 -
Morning lovelies, up and dressed and slurping coffee. It's going to be a hard day today as I was in the WAC from before 4! Never mind, I can take it gently and maybe have a nap.
Put kitchen to bed last night so looking fine this morning and OS sorted DW
Banking & spending checked
Yesterday, car serviced, bottles taken to bottle bank.
Off to have breakfast and sort a load for WM11 -

We had a lovely day yesterday, great party.
Today DH is back at work. I'm going to flutter and DD and DGD2 are visiting for a while later.Spend less now, work less later.9 -
Good morning my lovelies xx
Back to the paid stuff today. But only for four days then I have 10 days off. Yabba dabba doooooooooooo 💃
I'm up, dressed, made my bed, packed my lunch, had a brew, and eaten breakfast.
I'll feed the birds and put out the recycling before I set off.
I had a weird dream about collecting memorabilia of obscure bands - with Noel Fielding. Eh?
Have a good day.
