I'd never have thought of them, though I don't know what 'half' masks are! Great price and there is one within a bus ride of me

They have destination-specific Covid guidance on their website and a clear mask policy that also explains this, did they not direct you to check all this sort of stuff when booking?kuepper said:I fly 0620 Tuesday and just had a text from Easyjet saying I need a FFP2 mask to fly and that surgical or cloth masks are not acceptable. V poor giving short notice on a bank holiday weekend.
https://www.easyjet.com/en/help/covid-19-faqs/mask-guidelinesAs it's a national rule rather than an EasyJet one, it's also highlighted in the FCO travel guidance at https://www.gov.uk/foreign-travel-advice/italy/entry-requirements#entry-rules-in-response-to-coronavirus-covid-19Mask Guidelines
Do I need to wear a mask?
Many of the countries we fly to still require that masks are worn, and you may need one at the airport, at the gate and during your flight. Masks are only optional on a small number of our routes, as shown below, but we'll continue to review and update this list when destination requirements change.
All flights to, from and within – Italy, Austria and Germany
All passengers aged 6 and over are required to wear a FFP2 when they fly.
[...]
All passengers entering Italy by plane, ferry, train or coach must wear an FFP2 mask in order to enter the country.
I didn't book the flight, the travel company i'm going with did but never flagged that as issue

It's in their terms, so it's always been available, you just missed the section when you read the mask guidelines.kuepper said:I fly 0620 Tuesday and just had a text from Easyjet saying I need a FFP2 mask to fly and that surgical or cloth masks are not acceptable. V poor giving short notice on a bank holiday weekend. Been to Tesco pharmacy and coop and neither have them, Tesco even said they had no idea where I'd get one, probably have to spend a couple of hours travelling into city centre to find somewhere that has one (and I bet you can't just buy one).
Their text was a 'reminder' so good they sent it, or you'd not have had the right mask.
yes it was good of them now I know all the facts but I didn't book the flight it was part of a package I'd bought last year.I was originally supposed to be flying with Ryanair but the travel co changed it to easyjet last week when I got my final docs.

I'd have thought that any reputable travel company would point customers towards all relevant Covid guidance, although fundamentally it remains the traveller's responsibility to do so - on the basis of 'better late than never', have you read through the FCO pages linked above, and the associated Italian ones to ensure that you know what needs to be done about evidencing your vaccination status, plus any requirements for passenger forms, testing, etc? I suspect that most of the latter requirements no longer apply, but I'd certainly check well before travelling abroad....kuepper said:

In the current circumstances you should really check the FCO site before going anywhere. The Italy face mask rule doesn't just apply on flights. Not knowing the rules might mean you don't get allowed on a bus or train when you get there or you get refused entry to a hotel or restaurant.kuepper said:eskbanker said:

I chose to book a trip to Portugal over Italy because the requirements for Portugal were ones that didn't need any special purchases - any face mask (I have plenty), proof of COVID vaccination and filling out a PLF between checking in and arriving.1 -
Queues were short at security at Manchester T1 on 19 April (the day after the last Bank Holiday). You have to walk past one Boots store at terminal 1, as it's right after security before you go through the duty free store.kuepper said:onashoestring said:
I have just gone to Boots website & they have them in stock at all their stores at Gatwick airport both terminals before and after security. If it’s another airport you are flying from you can check here :

thanks but i can't leave it til the airport, the security queues at Manchester are mad and the Easyjet have told me to get there at least 2.5 hrs before departure but their bag drop doesn't open til 2 hrs before departure so it'll be touch and go to catch the plane before boarding closes 30 mins before departure1 -

Because as the traveller it’s your job to check the requirements.kuepper said:eskbanker said:
