Alas, I don't, and yes the post piling up is a concern for sure! I might have to get a safety post-box with a key in the frontSlinky said:Do you have a side door into the house? We've just ordered a full glass door for our front porch, were going to have a through the wall postbox on the side of the porch, but finally decided that putting a letterbox in the side door was the better option as it means when we go on holiday there isn't an abundance of post building up on the mat in full view.0

Oh no 😫 I'm so mad at the salesguy, I don't think it's worth ringing him back up as it's done nowkoalakoala said:You don't get postal slots on these doors ! There is nowhere for it to go but thanks for replying 0 but thanks for replying 0

How easy is it to make a hole through that wall for a letterbox? No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?0

For mine? It's an oldish brick wall, I assume wouldn't be difficult, I could consider that option for sure!GDB2222 said:How easy is it to make a hole through that wall for a letterbox?
It's easy to knock a few bricks out, then bodge it. But that would look pretty awful.
What I meant was how easy would it be to make a nice neat hole through? You'd need some sort of liner, and preferably the hole would be at an angle, so the post slides through. No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?0

The through wall ones come complete, but I think start around £90.
You should put a tray over the top, especially as they run back into the inner skin.0

I have seen them complete, as you say. But it’s still going to be difficult to cut a neat hole in the brickwork, especially angled down. What tool would you use?stuart45 said:The through wall ones come complete, but I think start around £90.

It's more fashionable not to have a letter box nowadays due to insulation/drafts. Just stick a box up. I get about 10% of the mail I did two years ago as just about everything has moved online.
Having seen the doors before you ordered them, you might have worked out letter boxes don't go into glass.Signature on holiday for two weeks0
