Patio door lack-of postbox **updated**

Hi all,
Sorry - I am a total novice when it comes to home improvements - in short, found a local double-glazing business via MyBuilder, who built a porch for us today. When I got home, I realised they didn't mention anything about a postal slot in the door, this one wasn't added.
Naturally, I'm a bit upset with this as my elderly mother can't keep going up and down to retrieve every small bit of post that has to be rung for (I work away a lot too).
I'm puzzled why this wasn't mentioned during the (3 hour!) speil by the salesman what came round. I assumed some sort of letter slot would be added right at the bottom as-standard for most front door/porch like what I have seen in much older upvc porches (such as my neighbours etc).

Any thoughts on how I can resolve this? Or am I a dunce for assuming? How can I tackle this with them, as we paid quite a bit for it, and I'm worried they'll say 'tough luck' as we signed the forms etc OR can I ask for a modification? Added example pic of the work, replies from builders/handymen especially appreciated.
Cheers all,

Add a post box to the wall?2

Wall mounted is your only option I think1

You don't get postal slots on these doors ! There is nowhere for it to go1

You can get through wall ones, but the cost is higher.1

Do you have a side door into the house? We've just ordered a full glass door for our front porch, were going to have a through the wall postbox on the side of the porch, but finally decided that putting a letterbox in the side door was the better option as it means when we go on holiday there isn't an abundance of post building up on the mat in full view.

But the outer wall for the porch is only a single skin brick (~100mm), and I was able to modify a standard letterbox to fit.Despite being in full view, it is surprising the number of people that can't spot it and insist on ringing the doorbell rather than shoving their carp through the letterbox.
Any language construct that forces such insanity in this case should be abandoned without regrets. –

Ahhh I see. Thanks all for your responses (please ignore duplicate thread?, I thought it would have a teeny slot at bottom, little did I know! And yes, they definitely do shove all sorts of junk mail in boxes
