Because the terms of the contract state they can raise the prices by RPI plus 3.9% each April. They can’t raise it when they feel, only by when the contract states they can.Deleted_User said:They should be honouring the contract until it ends and this goes for everyone including TV, Broadband and phone companies. What is the point in having a "contract" if they can just raise the price when they feel. Absolutely shocking.

What that companies are doing what they said they will do in their terms.Deleted_User said:

Again, what's the point of the contract when they can just put anything in it that basically says they can do what they like during the contract.jon81uk said:

I'm pleased I have a price for life with my Zen Internet broadband contract and the reason why I only go for 30 day SIMO mobile contracts.1 -

They can't, the regulator has to approve it (which they did) & you will find that most ISPs/mobile networks now have similar in their contracts.Deleted_User said:

Zen have now removed "price for life" for new contracts because it wasn't sustainable.

Then don't take out and agree to the contract if you don't like what it states. It's not hard, are people really so stupid?Deleted_User said:Again, what's the point of the contract when they can just put anything in it that basically says they can do what they like during the contract.I use Tesco mobile because they do NOT raise prices during the contract term, that is the terms I signed up to.4 -
Maybe so but at least if you take out a new contract with Zen they will still honour the price for the whole term of the initial contract and not put it up in April under the RPI BS.BUFF said:

Who you calling stupid? I already stated I have price for life with Zen and use 30 day SIMO contracts so I can avoid price raises mid term.Asghar said:

The point of the contract is it sets out what they can do, if you don’t like it then don’t accept it, so as you did and go elsewhere. It’s not shocking that the terms of a contract are being applied.Deleted_User said:

Nope I didn’t express an opinion on the practice, just that it’s not shocking when the terms of a contract are applied. If someone doesn’t like a contract they don’t have to accept it.TOP_CAT said:jon81uk is fighting for the corporations .......on MSE..... which kind of says it all .0
