What did you say to the dentist to get that response?
I asked who the landowner was, suggested they give people the heads up about return car parking when they book double appointments in, asked if they would be willing to help me get the car park ticket annulled and said that i felt a little let down by their email telling me it was my problem not theirs.
I wonder if they have had a few emails saying similar? They sound a bit defensive.

It's clearly likely to be their contract with the parking firm if they have (INSIDE the dental surgery) banners and a keypad!

He/she says it's 'NOTHING TO DO WITH US' then they go into great detail about how it is everything to do with them!

Going by the time and space they've invested in enabling the system, they have clearly partnered with the rogue parking firm by allowing an unworkable keypad system that none of the staff have time to remind patients about.

When they let keypads be put in premises, places like dentists, GP surgeries and gyms ALWAYS have the right to cancel any genuine patron's PCN by a simple email to the cancellations team.

Tell them to check their parking keypad/system 'user manual' or email details and please start cancelling PCNs for staff and patients caught out by this, as is their right!

It's in the paperwork when they agreed to host the unworkable keypad system.

Is this in fact, that you forgot to input your VRM on the second visit? Or did you not put it in at all, or did on both visits?

That's what the dentist has assumed (keying error oversight) but you told us this was a PCN for returning within x hours.
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Well, i,m not sure, i was never asked to input my number plate, so didn,t know i was supposed to, i have never done it before on any visits but have never had a double appointment before, there was probably a sign, in amongst the hundreds of others on the door, i didn,t read any other than the mask wearing one on the main door ☹.
The PCN is for no return as it says so on the ticket.

You,ve made me wonder now, if they have a keypad in the dentist then surely they are something to do with the car park? So why are they denying all knowledge and being shirty about it now?
I had to spend £500  replacing a crown that was 3 months out of warranty with them and now get this ticket, i can,t afford it, i have 3 special needs children and can,t currently work.

  • The bottom of the email from the dentist then says
'We are not at liberty to say who our landlord is as it has no relevance to this'.

I didn,t say why i wanted the name of the landowner (i didn,t say landlord).
  • And the receptionists weren,t so busy that they couldn,t relieve me of £500.

Good, that's what I said IS the case. No need for the question mark. It's clear from the reply, this IS their system.  I explained their contracted connection with the PPC and what to say next.

It will also be interesting to find out if the cameras and signs have relevant permissions.  The planning enforcement team at the local Council will be able to advise.

Whilst it won't help as regards appealing, it will enable you to give them some grief in response to their approach to this.

Thank you very much. I shall do exactly as you say.
I got a contact for Boultbee Brook, i shall also double check with them if they authorised ARDPark.
  • I have contacted Boultbee Brooks to double check who authorised ardpark and told them the dentist says it wasn,t them.
Just thinking back that on a different visit a few months ago i popped into farmfoods shop straight after and i didn, tneed to put my registration in there, so why in the dentist now?
