Do you have another bank account.
If so send the money there first.
Then from that account send Chase £10.
As payee can’t be confirmed you of the bank need to override the payment.
    Then send the large amount.
Everyone has had issues with the first payment and bank fraud checks.
I had issues with First Direct, Santander, Halifax, Nationwide and Starling.
I gave up and moved all the money to First Direct as they were the easiest to deal with.
    Then transferred it to chase.

For what it’s worth, I transferred large amounts from a Virgin Money current account without any issues.
  • Thanks penners324, hopefully that's all it is
  • Thanks Bigwheels1111 and RG2015 for the info, I'll try that.

Just a thought. When I set up Chase as a payee on Virgin Money, it did not have confirmation of payee (CoP).

However, there a was a message on Virgin Money a day or two back saying that this was now active on the app, and will soon be active in Virgin Money online banking.

This may affect the ease with which new payments to Chase can be made.

I may just not bother and keep in a savings account getting 1% like Saga, the 1% cashback would have been nice though.
    Thanks for your input eskbanker.
You could have a look at Cynergy 1.20% and/or Zopa 1.19% & Boosted Pots: 7days 1.24%, 31days 1.34%, 95days 1.44% both of these are linked accounts: Cynergy x1 linked acc, Zopa (I have 4x linked accounts)

Thank you for posting about the difficulties, I've just been on with the fraud squad at Barclays for 20 minutes - at first they thought it was an international payment.  Glad to finally see it in my Chase account savings!

I’ve had delays paying deposits via fast track from nationwide to Chase. My Nationwide account shows the money has gone out of my account but not received in the Chase account. When I inquired at Chase why was there a delay beyond 2 hours the money appeared immediately.

Just did test payment from my Lloyds Account to my Chase Current account. It arrived within a few seconds.
Also just test moving money internally from Chase Current Account to Saving Account, again it moved within second.
Has anyone tried transferring money directly from Non-chase current account directly to Chase "saving account" without using chase current account and Visa Versa e,g from Chase Saving Account to Non-Chase current account. How reliable they are ??

Yes, direct pay in to Chase saver is near instantaneous.
I pay standing orders out from the Chase saver. Seems reliable and even pays SOs on weekends and bank holidays.
