Hi,
I seem to be stuck in limbo between my bank "AIB" and Chase Bank
Chase does not accept CHAPS and they can only receive payment or BACS
How do I transfer money to Chase? My Bank is unable to help.

Above should read:
Chase can only receive payment via Faster Payment or BACS

What's the problem with paying in via Faster Payments (breaking into smaller chunks if above your daily/transaction limit)?2

Sorry; I've never heard of faster Payment; how does it work?0

It's often just referred to generically as a bank transfer - how do you send money anywhere from your bank normally?jonnymac147 said:Sorry; I've never heard of faster Payment; how does it work?
Edit: just to check your reference to AIB, I take it this is a UK sterling current account that you're looking to send from?1 -
Yes UK sterling bank, I normally use the app and put in sort code and account number and bingo but not working with Chase.1

What happens when you try? Chase don't participate in the Confirmation of Payee service, so you'll get a warning about the destination not being recognised, but assuming you're going past that, do you get some sort of error message when you actually try to complete the transaction?jonnymac147 said:Yes UK sterling bank, I normally use the app and put in sort code and account number and bingo but not working with Chase.1 -
I get the below error message; repeating request does not allow me to go through; that's as far as I can get, and the sort code and account details are from the Chase app so are correct.
The details you have entered are incorrect or do not exist. Please re-enter the details and confirm (Ref 230)

Sorry, no idea then, but if you've already fed that information back to AIB and found them unable to assist then I'm not sure where else you can go - do you have any other bank accounts perhaps?jonnymac147 said:I get the below error message; repeating request does not allow me to go through; that's as far as I can get, and the sort code and account details are from the Chase app so are correct.

I may just not bother and keep in a savings account getting 1% like Saga, the 1% cashback would have been nice though.

Perhaps AIB haven't updated their accepted sort codes yet....1
