Sounds likely that your father in law messed something up to begin with tbh,unfortunately which might well take some unravelling to correct.
As mentioned earlier,if you can post a bill it may make things clearer and quicker to decipher.
Although all of your bills are estimated,you can subtract the latest bill from the bill 12 months previous which will be a rough guideline as to your consumption.
The downside to having paid estimated bills is that you might have either under or over paid quite considerably and will need to address that once you do supply an actual reading.
I don't have pro,or anti feelings regarding them or engage in excessive tin foil hattery but do think a smart meter,if that's not what you already have might be the best option for you moving forward.0
