Hi the bills were always estimated ,and I have all the payments of 239 each month to eon and I don't have the reading what I gave bg now ,eon started my monthly amount was 104 per month then it went up to 239 per month now there saying iam 727 in credit0
-
There were taking 239 each month from my account0

You should be able to see the readings you gave to BG in your account, and please post them here.
If you don't find it please just post todays readings and the estimated readings in your last Eon bill. This way we can get an idea how far off their billing is.0 -
Hi the reading which bg have when I left eon is 11 March 4302.4,on eons estimate reading they saying 14537 which there saying can't be right so I admit iam abit thick to all this but that's what has been shown ,I really don't know what is right0
-
What is the reading today?
Do you have only electricity or also gas? If it is electricity only, do you have an Economy 7 tariff?
4302 KWh on the meter would be extremely low, you are sure it is not 43024? How long have you been in your house/flat? Were you the whole time with EON?0 -
Hi I will get a reading later ,I have lived here for just over 5 years ,no it was with Scottish Power when we moved in and was a payg meter ,we have electric and for hot water and heating ,we had meter changed to credit meter ,I will get a meter reading later ,my father in law took the reading for me when we changed to British gas so perhaps he read it wrong ?0

Not to sure how to read the meter hold button or something but will give it ago0

Rick71 said:Hi all I changed supplier from eon next to British gas in march,...................t they said they didn't have meter reading from british gas ,that was a lie as they did have it,.Never pay on an estimated bill. Always read and understand your bill0
-
I know it was a lie because after 5 emails to old supplier they said they have the reading ,but there saying the reading doesn't match up eon have never read our meter only estimated ,0
-
You have the problem that you have now for the firs time read the meter and submitted the reading to your new supplier.
For EON this does not match up of course, as they have charged you for more than 10000KWh more than you really used. The 4302KWh you reported to BG seem very likely to be correct as you recently got a new meter starting at 0. Do you remember when that was?
A direct debit of 239£ for electricity only, while you have a prepaid gas meter is very high, but they increased it due to your lack of giving them meter readings, and you did not fight it.
The problem here seems to be really that the final/opening meter reading is so different from there estimates.
When you check todays reading please try to take a photo. Submit the photo together with the reading from today and from 8 weeks ago to EON. This should be proof that there estimates are completely off, but expect some resistance from them.
