OP hasn't been back to the forum since this morning, but based on the old EDF deemed rate card (thanks Gerry1) his winter bill for ...
6809KW and 679KW at cheap rate between the 28th October 21-23rd March 22
... works out as around £1800. Add £535 for the period from GNE going bust in January until October and you get £2300 or so.
If his total payments for the period are £1300 that puts him at least £1000 in the red today.
@Steve_1956 it would be great to get some more details of your current EDF account balance, your current and previous tariff rates and of your previous annual energy consumption.
What I didn't expect was to receive a bill stating that I had used 6809KW and 679KW at cheap rate between the 28th October 21-23rd March 22
When you say you didn't expect this, what *did* you expect? What have your previous consumption figures been, either annually or for that specific period? I see from your previous thread here that you've had this system for at least five winters so you must have a pretty good idea of how much electricity it uses?
I have had the heating system Since 2007 it was installed with the new house, the amount I owed from GNE was £535.00 as stated in my first thread the monthly payment has always been around the £120.00 figure as I'm not a high user. anyways just to let you know EDF have confirmed today that the meter is broken and will look to replace and return my payment back to £120.00PM  thanks everyone for your input Night Night
