Had this with MBNA last year.
MBNA deleted my card on their end.
Told me to delete card from app and then add it back.
Just in case they said make a payment with the card and pin.
Been fine for over a year now.

When you mean they deleted your card - What does that mean? Where did they deleted the card from?

I tried deleting the card on the app and added it again - still the same
When you add the card it confirms it with the provider.
MBNA removed it’s permission as such, unliking the card.
When it was added again it asked for confirmation again.
I’m sorry that’s the best way I can explain it.

Ok sounds strange. I will give them a call tomorrow - i did not have time today. Thanks

YES - exactly the same thing. Have had my Halifax card stored with Google for donkeys years. It was all fine, bought tons online with it no problem whatsoever dead easy - just enter your 3 digits. Worked a dream up until a few days ago and now it cannot verify my CV2 number. Halifax said it was the website not submitting the info correctly - load of toffee, it all of a sudden doesn't work on any website, JustEat and other big players - what they're all doing something wrong? Not having that. It's Halifax I think.

What do you think is the problem? Halifax App? I had a feeling Halifax would just sweep it under the carpet and blame Google Pay.

When I added my Halifax CC to GPay. I had to ring halifax to confirm it was me. GPay app gave number to call.

We didnt do that - But again all the other cards work fine without any issue, just Halfax

    Here is something even stranger

I have BOS and LLOYDS cards which are part of the same group. They are all fine on G Pay and online/app

Oh yes, my Lloyds debit card and credit card are setup as payment methods and they're both fine. I'd say that points the finger at Halifax.

Same issue here, trying to 'fix' my Halifax card in Google Payments, which worked for years. Seems to have been set up okay in Google Pay (which is different), but haven't tried to use it there yet

    Shall we call Halifax tomorrow?

I will be doing that - if everyone else does too and post on here their experience. Lets get to the bottom of this

    So frustrating

    UPDATE:

Called Halifax, basically went through a couple of departments and this is a big issue with lots of complaints. Apparently its a google pay issue who are not sending Halifax a secure link. Halifax have no issues with their systems. This is what the technical team said. They are working with google pay to resolve this and hopefully it will be sorted in the next few days.

I was also informed Lloyds and HSBC are suffering similar outages with google pay.

Whether this is the truth or they are just trying to get rid of me on the phone ... who knows.

Will give it a week or so and call back if not resolved

One thing for certain as soon as i mentioned the problem the lady said they were getting so many calls about this issue
