Google Pay - Halifax Issues

Anyone having issues with Halifax and Google Pay. It was working perfectly for the last year or so as my preferred card and the last few days it does not work and keeps saying i need to update the details/card. Everytime i put in the CCV number to update it keeps coming up with an error message.

I've just tried adding my Halifax card to Goigle pay, all seemed to go ok (including adding the CVV no.) but on selecting the card it says to use online it needs updating. Updating it means putting in the CVV no. but that throws up a 'unexpected error' message.0

Not had to set up a card for a while, but did buy some coffee today using halifax card on GPay. 👍Life in the slow lane0 -
Had this with MBNA last year.
MBNA deleted my card on their end.
Told me to delete card from app and then add it back.
Just in case they said make a payment with the card and pin.
Been fine for over a year now.0 -

Will have too, my experience with them is usually they will blame google pay and google pay with blame Halifax. Wanted some advice on here before going direct to Halifax1 -

When you mean they deleted your card - What does that mean? Where did they deleted the card from?

I tried deleting the card on the app and added it again - still the same
MBNA removed it’s permission as such, unliking the card.
When it was added again it asked for confirmation again.

YES - exactly the same thing. Have had my Halifax card stored with Google for donkeys years. It was all fine, bought tons online with it no problem whatsoever dead easy - just enter your 3 digits. Worked a dream up until a few days ago and now it cannot verify my CV2 number. Halifax said it was the website not submitting the info correctly - load of toffee, it all of a sudden doesn't work on any website, JustEat and other big players - what they're all doing something wrong? Not having that. It's Halifax I think.0

When I added my Halifax CC to GPay. I had to ring halifax to confirm it was me. GPay app gave number to call.Life in the slow lane0
