UK Holiday insurance - can I insure just myself as driver or do I need to include everyone?

Hi, I've booked a holiday in the UK for myself, my two kids and my mum. I was going to get insurance as I am the only driver, so if I get Covid just before we go I will have to cancel the holiday (if any of the others get Covid nearer the booking, they can stay with relatives and the rest of us can still go - might sound harsh but I've worked blooming hard for this holiday this year).
So my question is, can I just insure myself, or as the holiday is booked for the four of us, do I need to include all four of us? If I had to make a claim, would the insurance company pay out as I'd only insured myself as the driver, when the holiday is for four of us?
Thanks

What does this have to do with buying, selling or renting property? You'd probably be better off asking on the Insurance & Life Assurance board.

Just to say if you do look to take out insurance make sure it factors in covid - took out UK policy and some standard ones don't cover.1

If you just insure yourself, your insurance would pay out for your proportion of your losses.Pup_mum said:

Nothing to do with house buying, but I expect you'd need to insure everyone. Its not just about the cause for cancellation (ie you), but also what costs are covered (ie all 4 peoples' travel costs).Pup_mum said:Hi, I've booked a holiday in the UK for myself, my two kids and my mum. Second concern is whether they'd agree that you getting covid is a valid cause for everyones' holiday stopping in its tracks, even if you're all insured - I agree with your argument, but just so you're aware.1 -
Sorry I'm new to this forum and didn't realise I'd posted it to the renting site. SorrySlithery said:What does this have to do with buying, selling or renting property? You'd probably be better off asking on the Insurance & Life Assurance board.1
