@gadjo Thanks for the update -and the timeline . It shows nothing has progressed since the second photo was received on 6th March .
This indicates there has been an issue with the counter- signatory .
Did the person you chose as countersignatory receive an email from HMPO after the 6th March- they would have been asked to check the photo was a likeness and confirm how they knew you ?On what date did they complete this ? Or maybe the e-Mail went to their spam/ junk folder and they didn’t see it ?Also did the person met the requirements for a counter signatory ?I agree with you that even if something went wrong with the application and further information is required , there should be a quicker way to communicate this to the applicant to resolve the issue.0 -
What this doesn't show is an email requesting mummy's birth certificate received on 30 March which was sent same day for next day delivery and signed and received 31 March.0

And what date was the counter- signatory sent/ completed ?0

It was done same day 24 Jan as per the timeline I posted.
Still can't get through, on hold for 8 minutes today and then get a "We're unable to take your call as we're too busy" message.
Ridiculous. The sooner BoJo privatises it the better...

In the absence of any information from Passport Office, I am trying to help you find out what the hold- up might be so that you can resolve it . That is why I am asking on what date the counter-signatory completed their part ?The counter- signatory would have received an e-mail asking them to confirm the likeness of the photo . As the first photo wasn’t accepted this e-mail should have be sent out to the counter signatory after March 6th when you sent the second photo -
So have you checked with that person that you nominated that they received the e-mail from from HM Passport Office and followed the instructions? On what date did they do this ?Or maybe the e-Mail went to their spam/ junk folder and they didn’t see it ?Also did the person met the requirements for a counter signatory ?0 -
Ah yes, privatisation, that panacea for all ills...0

A 2nd counter signatory request wasn't received. Only the one on 24 Jan. Counter signatory is a nurse which meets the requirements for that responsibility.1

You could try contacting your MP - they maybe able to expedite your case and find out what the hold up is .0

I emailed her last week funnily enough but the automated response states it'll take her at least 2 weeks to respond!1

they have had a double wammy of the Brexit rules and Covid, they were pretty much closed for over a year,, staffing levels are still being hit by Covid, yes they should do better but dont see privatisation as the way forward, gadjo said:It was done same day 24 Jan as per the timeline I posted.
