I see the lurpac is now a 750g pack instead of 1 kilo.

I still buy it (it's my little luxury) but only when it's on offer and then I freeze some too. I saw it on Iceland's website on 7 day deals at £3.00 for 500gms. I had a 45 min bus journey to get some as it was also pensioner discount day and was told it doesn't start until tomorrow. Nowhere on the website does it say it doesn't start till tomorrow and they'll probably have sold out by next Tuesday but I will try for some next week as it will only be £2.70 a pack with discount.

I don't use much spreadable butter but like it when I bake scones.
So only worth me buying the 250g size.
I've tried several brands, although not that many are available locally on that size, across several SM's.
I really do prefer the Lurpak.

One of my grandsons is a primay school teacher and he says he knows many children in his school come to school not having had a decent breakfast and often not a great deal in their lunch boxes its sad to think of children in our affluent country going to school ,or bed hungry, but its what will happen if something isn't done to help folk more.
While I was still at Blackpool Council (so pre 2014) they started a free breakfast scheme for all the boroughs primary schools, to ensure that all children got a good meal as much to ensure food poverty was reduced as to enable them to concentrate.

Just to join in the conversation..... Farmfoods 750g bags of rhubarb have been £1 a bag for ages but pretty sure they were originally 1kg bags.

I was in the other day and they are now £2.50 a bag or part of the 3 bags of frozen fruit for £6.  To say I was gobsmacked was an understatement.

Iceland have Lurpak spreadable on 7 day special price of £3 for 500g for those of you that like it.

That probably means it will be going up again after that!  It usually does when it's on a special low price!
