There is no statutory ombudsman, there are Alternative Dispute Resolution services, of which one used to call themselves an ombudsman but were forced to drop the name. Its up to any company to decide if they wish to sign up to such a service or not. If they dont your only option is the courts (who may push you to an ADR service anyway)
True ombudsman that have any form of teeth tend to be limited to regulated industries or former monopolies.2 -
No, generally most areas of business don't have ombudsmen. If you have legal rights to pursue then you do that via the courts.

Have you already exhausted Nike's own complaints process? Any resolution service will normally require that before getting involved.

What's the nature of your complaint? Nike's customer service in my experience has been second to none.Pensions actuary, Runner, Dog parent, Homeowner1

I don't think this will help the OP, but I like the idea of a Nike ombudsman.
I purchased a pair of Nike trainers because that is what Kipchoge wears, but I still can't run a 2-hour marathon. I'd actually be happy with 3-hours.
Nike ombudsman sounds like a Just Do It idea to me.2 -

Just fyi, this forum's rules state -
"We appreciate emotions can run high should you experience poor service from companies, but we cannot accept active calls to boycott organisations as we are unable to verify the service you received."
I realise that's not what you're doing, yet - but it seems like it's on the horizon . . .Please note - taken from the Forum Rules and amended for my own personal use (with thanks) : It is up to you to investigate, check, double-check and check yet again before you make any decisions or take any action based on any information you glean from any of my posts. Although I do carry out careful research before posting and never intend to mislead or supply out-of-date or incorrect information, please do not rely 100% on what you are reading.
