Is there a retail ombudsman to make a complaint about Nike?

Any help appreciated.

Thanks!

There is no statutory ombudsman, there are Alternative Dispute Resolution services, of which one used to call themselves an ombudsman but were forced to drop the name. Its up to any company to decide if they wish to sign up to such a service or not. If they dont your only option is the courts (who may push you to an ADR service anyway)

True ombudsman that have any form of teeth tend to be limited to regulated industries or former monopolies.

No, generally most areas of business don't have ombudsmen. If you have legal rights to pursue then you do that via the courts.

Have you already exhausted Nike's own complaints process?  Any resolution service will normally require that before getting involved.

...there's also no general requirement for businesses/retailers to have a "complaints process"...

What's the nature of your complaint? Nike's customer service in my experience has been second to none.

I don't think this will help the OP, but I like the idea of a Nike ombudsman.

I purchased a pair of Nike trainers because that is what Kipchoge wears, but I still can't run a 2-hour marathon.  I'd actually be happy with 3-hours.

Nike ombudsman sounds like a Just Do It idea to me.

I can scrape under two hours on a half marathon, three hours for a full one would be a time I would be very happy with!

Yes, my comment was purely tongue-in-cheek.  I'd be happy to just get through a whole marathon.  I can just about do 5k at 3-hour marathon pace, but can't sustain that for 3 hours.

I feel as though I should be at the end of complaints process as its been a bit of a long saga. However, ive been told to wait another 3-5 workings days (i already waited that period as they previously advised).

Just fyi, this forum's rules state -

I realise that's not what you're doing, yet - but it seems like it's on the horizon . . .
