Just a quick visit from me today as I'm about to clear up after an impromptu visit from DS and his boys, one 8 yr old and 6 yr old twins. They're full of beans and always on the go, so the house is a bit of a mess. And it's very quiet now they've gone! It was great to see them though - we've missed them so much over the last couple of years, thanks to Covid.
We had some rain overnight and the day started a bit on the dull side, but now it's fine and sunny, albeit a bit cooler.
An easy tea tonight for us, a salad with some gammon unearthed from the freezer. There's not a lot of gammon but with all the salad-y bits and pieces there'll be enough for a meal.
This morning I cleaned out the first aid cabinet and found a bottle of sunscreen and two bottles of after sun (neither had much in) that I know are out of date. The sunscreen has been relegated to the bathroom as a general moisturiser and I've condensed the after sun into one bottle that is in the kitchen as a hand cream. I'll get replacements soon in the hope of a good summer - ever the optimist!Enjoy your few days away Scarlet.
Get well soon TA.
Congratulations bella and family on a new arrival..
Bad luck on the migraine Izzy - you may well have to steer clear of the choccies!
What a sad state of affairs Ruby. You’ll have to stick to your guns on this one - your mum can’t possibly be expected to cope with nephew once she’s home. And you’ve enough on your plate too.
Thinking of all those who aren't well, those caring for others or anyone just struggling in general. Take care. XBe kind to others and to yourself too.8 -
Quite a refreshing afternoon tendering the back garden and lawn, followed by a glass of red wine on the patio with the parasol up and the sun bringing much needed warmth to the area. We could even just about see Scafell Pike mountain range in the far distance.
Just a little bit chilly now, with the sun behind trees and the patio now in shade. Looking forward to our home made jalfrezi curries later on tonight.6 -
