Bolt1234 said:Hi, my current car is a Mini Countryman Cooper Sport S auto in red with a black roof.
I don’t really want to buy the Mini but it’s a personal lease as opposed to a PCP.
I honestly just want a hot hatch of some sort preferably automatic. I do like Mini’s - have had two Coopers before and also a Audi A1 and a Mercedes B class when the kids were growing up.
Sorry, I know this is a money saving site so it might not be the right forum to discuss hot hatches!!
Skoda Fabia is a good car. Not sure on availability.
Polo is a good car. Again not sure on availability.
Might be worth looking at what in stock lease deals or buy options are available. If you are ok with a supermini then I suspect you will find something in stock. Worth a look on the lease comparison sites and also auto trader.0 -
Thank you all. My son has a Polo so I am aware of how it is but it’s a basic 1 litre model0

Would you suggest I wait until say Sept to look a in stock deals (Mini goes back end of November)0

But in terms of timing I think you need to decide if you are needing to order a car or likelihood of stock availability come September or October. To do that you need to decide what you want and then speak to some dealers…0 -
Bolt1234 said:So went into Ford - they aren’t taking any new orders and don’t know when the books will open again. Mercedes was just too expensive. Nissan Micra top of the range was very nice but seriously thinking about a Honda Jazz Hybrid which apparently will come in beginning of Nov. Unless anyone knows anything different!

It might be worth checking autotrader for "brand new" car availability then ringing the dealers in question RE: ordering. At the end of the day you can buy the car wherever you want, and have it serviced by your local dealer anyway.0 -
