Whichever is most feasible, if it's dry, line, if it's wet, tumble. Although thank god the drier weather is coming...

Air dry whenever possible, especially bed linen, pillow cases etc. Always feel and smell fresher when back on the bed.
I used to put my underwear out on the washing line, until one day I went out to bring all the washing in only to find some of my knickers, a t-shirt and a pillow case had somehow blown into next door garden.

Communal garden, small block of flats.

One day it started raining and my older male neighbour thought they would help by getting our washing in for us… undies and all…

didn’t put undies out on the line for quite a while

now I wfh, it’s all put outside if its forecast to be dry and if not, then it’s on the airer. Undies are always in the middle of the rotary line and pegged from just one side seam so slightly more subtle and not showing off the size (I go for comfort these days anyway)

I love to have a couple of loads of washing washed, dried and not hanging about in our hallway and it does always smell fresher when dried outside.

Outside now i have the time. Used to use clothes horse in kitchen.  I feel quite proud when i stick my washing out.  I kinda think the neighbors think "Oh isnt she good"  I notice if I do 3 washes its the same amount of water as a bath. Not that we have to worry about water costs ....yet

Line dry whenever possible.  I'm at home most of the time so it means if the weather changes and it starts raining I can get it in quite quickly.  Smalls always go in the middle of the rotary line but only because they take up less room than things like T-shirts and trousers.

Line dry whenever possible. I have some lines under cover of an overhang of our garden shed so of the weather is changeable it goes u der there. I dry my undies on one of those plastic peggy hangers - I can get quite a few pairs of knickers , bra and sometimes socks on it and hang that on the line, easier to grab too if it threatens rain. Only use my tumbler to fluff towels and air heavy stuff off.
